Just useless. One thing after another. Use the atm to pull out money just for it to say out of service after but before it didn’t give me my money,now they saying it gave me money which it didn’t. Now I have to wait 10 days. What a joke. Switching banks .

They are getting lazier than ever. Want everyone to use the bank machine even when seniors don't want to. Keep pushing it. Getting crazy that won't let family members help seniors that don't want to go out. Not impressed by any means. No wonder there is no line up but I bank at Royal bank and there is lineups most of the time.

Won't certify a cheque from the Athabasca branch.
In this day and age there is no excuse for this.
All it would take is a phone call.
Now I have to drive to Athabasca.?

Absolutely losing sleep over the mortgage department dropping the ball and keeping me waiting 6 months to finalize my separation buy out. Meanwhile Scotia keeps telling me "one more week" (since Sept) while my ex and my 3 year old son (shared custody) live out if a hotel, as this process holds up him purchasing a home for them. The funding went thru a month ago but Scotia is still having the payments come out of my exs account, not mine, and the mortgage protection plan trying to coming out of a closed account. (therefore now I'm owing him money due to no fault of my own) It's been a complete joke from the start and I am still chasing them around either calling or emailing every single week to get some answers. I will never ever deal with Scotia for another house and I'm getting tempted to pull all my accounts and go elsewhere. Thank you Scotia for being a nightmare and causing me to lose sleep over your miscommunication, unorganized departments, and total lack of concern for a long time customer. I've been with you for 15 years and my house with you 12 and this is how you treat your "valued customers"?! I'll be calling the news stations next to inform them of your terrible service and how you could really care less that this process is essentially keeping my ex and my son homeless. He's been paying for hotels out of pocket because we've been told this would be finalized in Oct (while I was away at work for 3 weeks, so lots of time for Scotia to get organized) so he cancelled his rental agreement then, on after direction from the bank that we were almost done the process. Absolute worst experience of my life. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR HOUSE THROUGH SCOTIA, YOU'LL REGRET IT!!!

I haven't had an account with them in a few years but everyone was always appearing so grumpy. Especially the managers. Who seemed to be so inconvenienced when asked got something.
