It's been a long day and I'm wiped out. Up at 5 and on the road by 5:45 for my 8:20 appointment with my NP. I was amazed at the courteous welcome everyone was receiving from the front desk staff. I've never, ever seen them be friendly, helpful, or welcoming in the three years I've been going to Desert Senita Community Health Center. Maybe I got my point across to the right people. I hope so and I hope it continues.As per usual, no wait, I was taken back a little before my appointment time.The medical assistant was friendly, knew what they were doing, and didn't seem rushed, which was nice. My poor NP, Fatima, tolerated me well. I've only seen her twice and she seems nice and knowledgeable. Since I've spent 30ish years working in healthcare, I know just enough to be dangerous, so I can be a difficult patient.My tick-borne disease test came back negative. I know someone who had Lyme Disease that was undiagnosed (they told them the target bite mark was ringworm ?, and all their blood tests were negative) for many, many years, and the resulting issues landed them at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester where they were finally diagnosed with advanced stage Lyme disease. Those of you who know me well won't be surprised to learn that I did significant research about Lyme Disease after that and read several books written by women who had been misdiagnosed for years and had serious medical issues from Lyme Disease, so I was like a dog with a bone insisting that we try something and if it didn't work I'd get a referral to a specialist. Fatima was pleased with my weight loss, exercise regime, and most of my dietary choices. She said she'd give me a 95%/100%. Yay me!All in all, a much better experience than I've had in the past and I truly hope it continues.

Desert Senita Health Center employee's are courteous and professional. The facility was well maintained inside and out. I highly recommend anyone to consider getting your health care performed by this facility.

Excellent clinic in our tiny town near the border. Lots of medical, dental and social services with plenty of smiling and helpful staff members. We are so grateful to have such a great state- of-the-art facility. Thank you everyone at Desert Senita Community Clinic!!! And especially for being so courteous. It's a lot of hard work so pay yourself on the back every day.

Had an appt later in Feb. However, I developed some problems that were causing me lots of concern.. The staff was able to shift schedule to take me in immediately, almost 2 weeks sooner and we were able to treat the issue for now.

Called in at 8, had an appointment at 9. Ajo isn't exactly back of beyond, but to have the health care here that I used to have to go to Tucson for is wonderful. It's great these healthcare professionals are committed to the community.
