My wife and I arrived there after 10 pm in a Friday night, they were not expecting us because there was an issue with the reservations and the lodge, but Angel greeted us and actually offered to make us dinner even though the kitchen was long closed. As we were staying in the lodge she made sure the coffee was all set for us in the morning. I got up early and had my coffee and went downstairs, That's when I met Charlene and she offered me breakfast, I had to wake my wife and tell her breakfast would soon be served. Mind you my wife were the only ones there and she said she would make us anything on the menu. Breakfast was awsome and she said make sure we come back for lunch and dinner. Their hospitality was above and beyond our expectations. We spent all weekend there and every moment was wonderful, they were so accommodating and and nice, will definitely be going back very soon.

It's a little understaffed, but other than that. A fantastic stay and can't wait for our next visit.

Veronica was great. They had just closed the kitchen, but Veronica told my friend and I could have a couple of Cheese Burgers. We had a couple of burgers and got to talking to Veronica. The next thing you know we have a new Friend. Thank you Veronica.

Every experience we've had staying at the Lodge. Our 1st trip, we rented out the whole thing, every Lodge room. Family, friends & the HWY 666 on our motorcycles was awesome. Our 2nd trip was a smaller motorcycling party, so we were in one of the larger cabins that sleep 6 or more. The cabin was well-appointed and comfortable. Our 3rd time was just a few short weeks ago. My husband, me & our 2 dogs went for 2 days & stayed in the "Sprucedale" cabin.

Nice and quiet and pretty all around. Also love their Alaskan Malamute on the premises.Food & drinks: I had the fish and chips and it was very good my husband had a cheeseburger and enjoyed that also

Great quiet get away. My wife and I like to make a motorcycle ride there for lunch. Good prices on food and drinks. Menu does not have a lot of choices but what they do have is very good. Great burgers, sandwiches, etc.

Remote and super quite. the View and wildlife amazing. The staff were warm and wonderful, you truly feel like family! Charlene and Scott cooked up the best meals, and Jerid took care of everything else, we only planned on dining the first night, but we ended up dining all three nights because the food and service was top notch. We were up and gone before breakfast and had our own lunches. The room was tiny but super cute and the bed soft and comfy. The WIFI worked great i was able to do my bird lists and text. did not try to make a phone call.if you just want to get away from life and sit on a porch and watch the day go by or maybe a hike this is the place to be. Just note that this place is 22 miles from anything on a curvy road with slow driving.

This is a lovely place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is truly out on its own, right off the little-used highway. They were short-staffed when we went, but we were there before their busy season would begin. All the employees chipped in to help in whatever capacity needed. We stayed in Cabin 10, which could've fit 7, but we used it with two couples. There was a full kitchen, which was nice for cooking some of our own meals. They had the basics for dishes, pots and pans, misc kitchen items. It would've been nice to have a set of steak knives. We made do with the one halfway sharp knife that was there. Regulating the temperature with a pellet stove, wood stove, and electric heaters was a challenge. Either we were cold or very hot. By the time we left, we had figured out what worked best to be comfortable. The beds and pillows were fine. There was a nice porch out front, with a gas grill they brought over. Something that we all felt needed to be improved was the stairs on both sides of the porch. They were cement block steps, with many big pieces missing, plus no handrails. That was a big safety issue. A few other things in the cabin could use some updating and sprucing up. We ate at the restaurant one evening. They had 3-4 choices for meals. Two of us had salmon and two had fried cod. The meal came with a lovely salad, a cup of the soup of the day, warm bread, french fries, and the fish. All of that was tasty, and for a very reasonable price. We were there a little early in the year, but were happy there wasn't feet of snow still around. The snow was still on the backroads, so it prevented us from driving all around and doing much hiking. We would be happy to return again.

The lady who manages the restaurant and lodge was very nice to let us visit with the horses and Riker the dog. We had a nice lunch there on our 32nd anniversary trip back home to the White Mountains.
