Everyone at VCA Apache Junction is so kind and they take such amazing care of my girl. The front office staff, assistants and doctors (especially Dr. Mackley) take the time to listen to me and really care about all of their patients! We are so thankful for you. ❤️

I’ve been using Apache Junction Animal Hospital as my go to for many years since moving back to Phoenix from Tucson. The staff has always been really wonderful about communicating needed adjustments and scheduling my dogs when they are due for vaccines or other services. I’m glad they were able to update their chairs in the lobby! It really gives that extra kick paired with their excellent medicine that they practice. My dogs will continue to come here as long as they are with me.Thank you team at Apache Junction for fostering a clinic of compassion and communication!

There’s a lot to this, but in short, VCA Apache Junction Animal Hospital isn’t what it used to be. and they aren’t afraid to take it out on your pet if you upset them.I’ve used VCA Animal Hospitals almost exclusively for my pet care for 21 years. I do not take this negative review lightly.When I moved to the Phoenix area about 5 years ago, I looked for another VCA Animal Hospital. VCA was, in my experience, more expensive than other animal hospitals, but the quality of care had been worth the cost.I got lucky when I found Dr. Laura Lister. She deserves a full five stars, but unfortunately (for me) Dr. Lister has partially retired and is now a relief veterinarian. I’ve met so many other wonderful people who work there. This review isn’t about them.This was my first visit with another veterinarian after Dr. Lister retired. The appointment was for one of my feral cats with an eye problem. I had a funeral for a family member, so I set the appointment for the first working day after my return. While I was gone, the eye got a lot worse. We withheld food and water then spiked some premium food with something Dr. Lister prescribed.We started trying to get the cat into a carrier an hour before the appointment believing with the medication, we had plenty of time. The medication wasn’t as effective as we hoped. When we saw that it wasn’t going well, we called VCA well before the appointment to let them know what what was going on and that we would be late. We were not told that they would only hold the appointment for a little while before canceling it. The whole point of the call was to let them know what was going on and why we were going to be late.We finally got the cat into the carrier and to VCA Apache Junction Animal Hospital and we were told the appointment was canceled and they weren’t going to treat the cat. I couldn’t believe my ears! Dr. Lister and Candy (prior office manager?) ALWAYS figured out a way to help, even if it was short term care before another full appointment.I don’t know if Candy and Dr. Lister previously bent the rules to help a regular customer, if these are new rules, or it was the new veterinarian and a new office manager. I have no way to know. In that moment, they only thing that mattered was helping the cat in my carrier. I told the new office manager that they either helped my cat or I wasn’t ever coming back. They declined to help my cat. I told them to send me my pet’s records and left.Thankfully, I was able to quickly get the cat into a well reviewed veterinarian. Afterwards, I realized that another one of my cats had an appointment with Dr. Lister five days later. I texted VCA to let them know I was keeping that appointment using the same texting phone number I always used. I was glad to have a chance to tell Dr. Lister why I was leaving and thank her for caring for my pets for nearly five years.When I showed up with my 18 year old cat, the same person (new office manager?) told me the appointment was canceled. I received no phone call, no text nor email that the appointment was canceled. I received no reply when I confirmed the appointment.VCA had two opportunities to insure minimal impact to my pet. Instead, they chose to give him the middle finger. Now, I have an 18 year old cat with a sinus infection waiting to see a new a veterinarian. He deserved better from VCA Apache Junction Animal Hospital. This one star review is for Xavier.

Had a great 1st experience here. The staff was friendly upon check in, we were grateful they had the time for us to add in a nail trim. We got in relatively quickly and waited a short time before the doctor came in(which is typical in ANY vet or human doctor's office) The Vet's assistant or Vet tech was excellent with our Noodles, very gentle and kind. The Doctor was great, straight forward and gave us many options. I will be back and would definitely recommend this Veterinarian if you're local or a snowbird.

The staff have been wonderful with our Leia. I was very nervous about leaving her to get spayed (apparently, I'm the one with separation anxiety), and they were so kind in assuring me, suggesting to call for an update if needed, and would call once Leia was ready to be picked up.I would definitely recommend them for any furry family medical needs.

Great! Vet and vet tech listened to my concerns and provided options for my dog and I. Very caring, patient and understanding staff. From the moment I walked in, reception was wonderful as was everyone I encountered. Going to see about starting to take my cat here too. Thank you, appreciate everyone here ??
