After many months not going to Joann's located at 1717 N Dysart, Avondale Arizona due to poor condition of store I went there today 1-23-24. I notified Joann's long ago with notes to customer service advising them of the store condition and I also spoke to a customer service representative. I received a form letter thanking me. Today the store was filthy and in such disarray it's hard to believe they can remain in business. The restroom's need to be condemned. I wonder what has happened to this location.

Ok the employees are helpful. But the bathrooms are NASTY!!! I went in and saw that it looked worse than an out house with fecal matter on paper towels on the floor. Ferrel bathroom!!!!!

This store is a bleeping trainwreck! They have 3 employees, and while they're semi friendly, you can tell they're over worked and underpaid. I couldn't find anything I needed and when I asked for help, no help was available as they don't have staff. The store is a wreck, there is merchandise everywhere. Another customer in the long line said she hesitated coming in because they have long lines and no staff and you can't find anything because there are boxes of unboxed merchandise scattered.This store needs self checkout and more employees, stat! I encourage this store manager to set up a night shift crew to stock and clean the store. The floors look like they haven't been swept in months. The store doesn't feel or look clean. If Hobby Lobby wasn't run by bigots, I'd shop there.

I went Friday cuz they open earlier. I waited outside 1.5 hours cuz they kept changing their opening times due to low staff plus wait to get my fabric cut plus wait to get charged. Better planning

Store is pretty well stocked and staff is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I couldn't find one of the items I came for despite Joann's website showing it in stock. When we asked about it we were told it was removed from the shelf because it was seasonal and was possibly somewhere in the back but they would not locate it. We were advised that if we tried to order it online the store would cancel the order.

Incredibly messy store. Most of the fabric is stacked at the cutting counter or on the floor. Most of the shelves are empty, and all the boxes are blocking the upholstery fabric. Online orders take days if they were even fulfilled. Sad to see a store like this.

Disappointing experience at this location compared to Peoria, which is my normal store. I ordered items online to pick up on my way home as I had already bought out the inventory at my store but needed more frames. 6 hours after my online order, I still hadn't received a "ready for pickup" email but I figured I would swing by as I got off early from work, and Peoria picks in under two hours. No such luck as the staff at Avondale told me that the order wasn't picked and gave me another 6-12 hour window to wait further. The store was empty with several employees milling about the register appearing to do nothing so I promptly found a Michael's coupon and attempted to purchased the same items off the shelf in the store, but the staff didn't want to honor their "accept competitor coupons in store" policy and claimed it was only applicable to price matches. Okay, whatever, the staff was young and inexperienced, and I wasn't about to be a "Karen" so I found another Joann coupon, bought the items and left. Hopefully it was just a bad day for the staff there, but it really didn't seem like it, so I will stick to my store in Peoria or go east to Phoenix instead of Avondale from now on.Leaving the store, I got an email stating my online order was cancelled due to insufficient inventory, which actually saved me the step of having to request a cancellation, so I got that going for me...

Idk what's going on with this location. Been shopping here for years, seems to be severely declining recently. Store always in disarray,staff doesn't know what they're doing AT ALL. Very long waits for the simplest of things,even when store not busy and many staff on duty. Don't waste your time. Like a LOT of your time. Nope.

Was in the market for a new sewing/embroidery machine but I could only look at the lower end model after an older lady blocked me off from viewing the higher end models. I have a sewing machine and maintenance through Joanns has always been a hassle and seems that getting help in store is becoming harder to find. You have material here but be ready to spend a premium. You get what you pay for here that’s for sure

Found a specific shade of yarn here that I’ve been looking for everywhere. I saw online they had it in stock but I didn’t see it on the shelf and I was reluctant to interrupt a conversation between employees but they were both very kind and helpful. I went to check out and the cashier was also super kind and personable. All around amazing employees, great stock on some cool items. Well worth my trip!

Don’t bother with placing a curbside pickup order. I have attempted to place several curbside pickup orders over the last few months with no luck. I place the order through the app, wait until I receive an email stating my order is ready for pickup, I use the app to indicate that I’m “on my way,” and once I get to the designated parking spot, I click the button that says “I’ve arrived.” Each time I’ve waited over 20 minutes in the parking lot. I try to call the store, but nobody answers the phone. I then walk into the store, and there’s usually a long line of customers. I wait in line (another 10-15 minutes), and when I get to the desk the cashier advises that my order has not even been pulled together - and so the trip has been a total waste. This has happened. Every. Single. Time. There is never a manager with whom I can speak to. It’s very frustrating to waste so much time/effort/gas money when the expectation is a quick and easy curbside pickup.

Took a sewing class with the Viking sew club ! They were helpful sweet and recommended materials needed to get started on my sewing journey ! Good class 10/10
