Honestly I don’t get the horrible reviews its common for most labs to have outrageous wait times and some don’t if you’re lucky but that’s why you come prepared to wait. I went to get a drug screening for my nursing clinicals and I waited almost 3 hours (which I expected). However, the receptionist were letting people know that their system was down (did everything by hand) and that the wait might be over 1-2 hours long. Note that drug testing starts at 9am so don’t waste your time by coming earlier since you’ll be waiting more. But the office was understaffed and the 2-3 workers were running everything on their own. I think the workers did what they could and were respectful to the customers but just be prepared to wait a while if you don’t have an appointment and even if you do.

They had me waiting for hours claiming they called my name and accused me of leaving when I never did. By the time they checked me in for my appointment it was 1:30pm my appointment was at 11:30am. The only reason why they called me in was cause I asked about when I was going to get called back.

You may need to wait for 2+ hours, but they will not communicate this with you. The Labcorp receptionist at the front desk had no social skills, had poor verbal communication abilities, and avoided delivering the truth about wait times. When I inquired after 40 minutes of waiting, she said things that mislead me into believing I would be called at any moment. After 2.5 hours I just left. I had already cancelled two appointments, and I couldn’t keep clearing my schedule as the day marched on.

Front desk is not friendly, kinda rude. Check in is at kiosk which makes check in process fast. Drug test is done at 11 am and there's no signs saying that so you can be waiting forever until they tell you. There should be a sign stating this. Waited so long for a drug test. The only reason I'm giving it a 3 star is because the tech April who did the drug test was super nice and worked as fast as she could. They need new front desk people who are actually willing to work with people.

Don’t come here without an appointment or you could wait hours. Not enough chairs in overcrowded office. Otherwise decent service.

Horrible, Labcorps are not privately owned. The labcorp website in huge bold letters says NO APPOINTMENT NO PROBLEM WALK INS WELCOME. You drive all the way down and this location has 2 signs saying appointments only. Guess they make their own rules.

The receptionist is racist, don't go there unless you want bad treatment!!
She is rude to older people and makes bad faces.
It was really terrible attention on their part! (ROBERTA)
On the other hand, the staff inside was excellent and if I couldn't give them another rating it would be 10/10.

If I could do this review without A star I would. Working for the Health system for more than 20 years brings me to think how is this place still in business. I've been to other Labcorp offices with my mother. But this time I went with my husband to this one because the hiring company sent him there for a drug screening. 1st of all we went online to schedule an appointment per system request. Well the company needed the test immediately not a month or 2 later. So don't even try to schedule an online appointment because it's a waste of your time. Appointments are seen first and then walk in appointments. So we had no choice but to do walk in appointment. We were told 3 hour wait. We waited 4 hours. When he was called it literally took 5 minutes for a urine sample for drug test. A week later the company still had no test results. We went back to this Labcorp and to OUR surprise they couldn't even find him in their system. I was livid. I explained and asked how could we have been here for 4 hours and they couldn't even find him in the system. The company didn't receive results either. THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN HEALTH SYSTEM!!!! I do NOT recommend this place to anyone!!! Hope they straighten up their act or get a manager that has experience in running this place. I went to Labcorp Avondale to get a drug screening on October 29th at 11:40 am. They informed me that they only do drug screening from 9 am to 11 am and they also informed me that their Labcorp Tempe location does drug screening from 12 pm to 2 pm. I drove 40 minutes from Avondale to Tempe and when I get to the Labcorp in Tempe they tell me that they only do drug screening from 9 am to 11 am. I even showed the information they gave me at Labcorp Avondale and they told me that document is not updated.

Save yourself time and energy, do not come to this lab unless you have an appt. The heavy set front desk lady is rude and unprofessional. I checked in at 9:35am and didn’t get called back till 12:10. My name wasn’t on the screens in the lobby as checked in. I asked 3x probably even 4 to make sure I was checked in. I was told yes everytime but the lady didn’t even know my name to confirm. I was asked to email my orders, which I had 2 from 2 different drs and only 1 was printed. That took extra waiting to get the other order.

DRUG TESTING CHECK IN ENDS AT 11AM
I bold the top information because this information is not posted online only on a paper on the front door inside the medical Plaza. if you don't check in before 11am you WILL be turned away i saw another patient turned away (very rudely) at 11:04 so there is no exception to this rule.
This place is actually as dreadful as the reviews online say I only came her as a walk in because my ACCHS insurance pays for it and I have no other place to go to. The lady at the front desk did sound very blunt and rude to the other patients but I don't think I blame them, she was running back and forth between front desk and back into the lab.
There is no dedicated front desk receptionists only the one girl
Ontop of that for simple urine test it's an estimated 2 hour wait.
The lobby is packed and some people even had to stand while waiting.
If you can go somewhere else, GO.
If you NEED to go here, go early in the day and expect a 2 hour wait this is NOT a quick in and out trip even as simple as peeing in a cup.

Posting this review for my wife since she doesn’t use this for reviews. She showed up at 930. Waited 10 mins in line to wait for the desk just to get told to fill out the kiosk.
She was told by the rude lady at the desk NOT to come back up until they were called
She did that. And waited. Got a text that she would get called soon and to pay attention to the names being called. Her name was never called. Went to them a little before 2 after now waiting hours and she was told by the same lady. The text you got was it. And that she was skipped.
Super unorganized and now she wasted a whole day she could have gone elsewhere to do this. And the money in the Uber there and back. Super unprofessional and just a total waste of space with rude employees

Find another location to go to!! This place was insane, had an appointment at 12. Was called at 1215 to be checked in and then waited until 1 to be seen. This is unacceptable! We have jobs and other obligations and can’t wait for over an hour after the original appointment time. Staff was rude and acted as if they can’t be bothered with simple questions. DO BETTER!
