Don’t understand if this is a truck stop which is also a rest area, why can’t cargo vans or box trucks stay overnight? Drove from PA to AZ and you telling me I can’t rest here overnight?! I’ve never been to another state where they wake you up because you’re not a semi. This is a policy they need to look into, semis aren’t the only vehicles that deliver goods from state to state!

Employees are very nice and helpful, unfortunately I can't say the same thing about the facility. Restrooms were very dirty and no toilet paper, showed were moldy and dirty. Truck parking lot is dirty and homeless roaming around. Most fountain drinks were out and nothing is fresh to eat besides Wendy's and Subway.

Good luck on parking cause apparently a parking reservation doesn't mean anything here. On the plus side if you need a place to drop a trailer go for it. They obviously don't care here

Absolutely the Worst Travel Center Experience – Avoid 900 N 99th Ave, Avondale, AZ
If you're on the road and considering stopping at the Pilot Travel Center located at 900 N 99th Ave, Avondale, AZ 85323, I strongly advise you to reconsider. This location is by far one of the worst-run travel centers I’ve encountered — lacking even the most basic standards of cleanliness, customer service, and professionalism.
To begin, the restrooms were filthy, outdated, and clearly not maintained with care. The stalls were broken or dirty, paper products were either missing or strewn about, and the smell was unbearable. For a brand like Pilot, which prides itself on supporting professional drivers and travelers alike, this is completely unacceptable.
The customer service was equally poor. Staff appeared disinterested and irritated, offering minimal assistance with a tone that made me — and others — feel like an inconvenience. Simple questions were met with eye-rolls or shrugged shoulders.
The store and food area were no better. Shelves were poorly stocked, refrigerated items were close to expiration, and the coffee station looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in hours. Even the fuel pumps were slow, crowded, and disorganized — clearly lacking any sense of management oversight.
This location reflects neglect and poor leadership, and it leaves a terrible impression not only on Pilot, but on Arizona travel stops in general. I strongly recommend choosing a different stop for fuel, rest, or supplies — especially if cleanliness and basic respect matter to you.
Bottom Line: This Pilot at 900 N 99th Ave, Avondale, AZ should be avoided at all costs. There are far better, safer, and cleaner alternatives nearby.

It looks clean and neath first. Manager and most of their staff are helpful and nice to customers. However Showers and towels they provide need serious attention. Water pressure in some of their showers are very low.( I was on a standby here and had to use their showers multiple times.) Towels are beyond used and even turned apart and showers are missing wall hangers. I should mention that at one instance (7/14/25) while walking insid the store with my shower bag one of their employees (an African American male with a smaller stature) on his way out walked right up to my face and blocked me from going any further then looked at me and rudely said excuse me! So I had to step aside and let him continue his walk wondering, why he was so rude for no appearant reson?
Also outside in parking area expect to see many homeless people walking to you asking for money. Security staff mostly like to spend their time inside the facility out of heat and burning Sun.

Just a heads up to any drivers out there—especially those driving cargo or sprinter,
vans. If you’re planning to rest for the night, avoid spending your money here. This place does not allow overnight parking or sleeping. Before you settle in and get comfortable, someone will likely knock on your door and ask you to leave. Save yourself the trouble and find a more welcoming spot.

Very bad experience, the people that work on this store are only there to get paid, they are very unprofessional and never help driver. Remember that professional drivers are who give you the job by paying for diesel. More respect to other people, specially if they are giving you the jobs. Even the manager in this store looks very very very very unprofessional. And the place is very very dirty as well, that is what they have to do, clean, sell and treat people like a person, specially the professional drivers.
