“I accidentally locked my keys in my car while shopping nearby and was panicking. A locksmith quoted me around 30 minutes and $250. I walked over to this shop hoping someone might have an idea, and the owner came over and had my car unlocked in less than 15 minutes.
When I asked how much I owed, they told me to pay whatever I wanted. I only had $5 in cash, and they accepted it without making me feel embarrassed.
Their kindness completely turned my day around. They could have charged me much more, but instead they chose to help someone who was in a tough spot.
