Dr. Holcomb, Dr. Delano, and the staff always treat my pets with the utmost care and respect. My dog is currently being treated for allergies and the injection they give him helps him be less itchy. I have pet insurance and the front office staff is always helpful with the process and sends me the invoices/medical records that I need to submit my claims. After moving from a big city where my pet felt like just another number, it's nice to find a small town vet that really cares. I highly recommend this vet

Paid in full. Never to return here after dealing with Heather Office Manager, and Dr Lana Holcomb Owner. The lack of people skills on their part. For example, on the day of the visit with my pet, I paid my bill in full as presented to me in good faith. However I received an invoice by mail that Montezuma Veterinary Service undercharged me by $16. The invoice also included in handwritten bold red letters the following "Payment is due upon service, please remit payment today! We have tried several times to call and have emailed as well." When all they had to do was mail the invoice without further comment. This underpayment is your mistake. At my visit I paid in good faith. I don't receive bills through my email. Again all you had to do was mail the invoice. In speaking with Dr Lana Holcomb, owner, she stated this is how she trains staff to send out invoices. Further, Dr Holcomb stated that she deals with many people who don't pay their bills and was tired of it. So she treats everyone the same. She seems to think we're all deadbeats. Dr Holcomb stated if I didn't like it I could change to another veterinarian, which I did. You may consider the same.

At the MOMENT of our dogs death while Delano held the shot, Holcomb burst into the door and yells, "Is this the dog that nipped our new girl that was holding him down?" While I was in deep prayer for the passing of my dog! She continues to scream, "Is he up to date on rabbies shots?" (He is) So they stopped everything and and left the room!! He's been sedated and on the edge but yet they literally left us hanging for a very long period! I was praying and wanting a peaceful passing but NO they were more worried about "protocol"! Holcomb then tells us that they'll have to cut his head off! While he's still alive and we're in complete tears! I asked, "Why is a brand new girl involved with our most important moment? I could of held him down!" Now they are talking of quintaine!?!!? (He sedated and dying!) So I asked, "Are you going to finish or are you going to try to bring him back to life to quintaine in a cage for 10 days?" After 45 min to an hour they said they would finally put him down but would have to cut his head off and take brain samples?! While we're grieving they ... Oh my.. Why did Holcomb have to tell us that right then, or ever? And I said "Then why the delay, I beg you to put him out of his misery and finish the job!" It was like NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD! (And he IS up to date on his shots but they were done in Colorado before we moved here so they're not on their AZ records) Like other reviews; the owner Holcomb is horrible and the main cause of this nightmare (AND they could of followed protocol and finished putting him down and not yelled at us and been nice and not told us of the nightmare of cutting his head off AND taking brain samples!) I have other stories of incompetence at this Vet that I won't mention now.. Take your pet to ANY OTHET VET and save yourself a possible heartbreak...

DR Holcomb did a fantastic job at Luna's spay. We have taken other fur babies here a couple of years ago and The compassion and care was exceptional.

They have been marvelous both times I've seen them on an emergency basis. Once with my cat and an infection on her face that got really bad and the second time with my puppy with a rose branch piece obstructing his eating and breathing. I highly recommend this business. They are nice, fast and care for the animals.

Wow! Unbelievable the way I just got treated at Mountezuma veterinary clinic. I had been there a couple of times with my dog and today I called to investigate solutions for my dogs highly aggressive behavior. The person on the phone rattle up a few things which I didn't quite understand so I started asking questions. The more questions I asked the router she got and then eventually just said we can't help you goodbye and hung up on me! This is the disgusting way they treat their clients. Stay away from Montezuma veterinary clinic at all costs!

Knowledgeable, effective, fair priced, and capable of actually discussing medical issues without trying to burn through your money or increase risk unnecessarily. PRICELESS. They even taught me some life savings things. See below. Extra thank you to the 2 people it took to hold Sam while drawing blood, and much thanks for kissing and loving him to relax him when you held him. I brought my boy Sam here 11y2m after his 7y old sister died suddenly 4 days ago. She died of an unidentified tumor on her spleen rupturing. I'm terrified about losing Sam before I've built a broader support network, which I think is common with animal owners to some degree. I teared up and got emotional answering questions about my Josephine, and the staff was very sympathetic , understanding and not rattled by the circumstance and my emotion. I brought Sam for the specific goal of trying to identify if he may have tumors of concern, starting with bloodwork, testing one (now) known fatty lump, and being willing to move to X-rays and or UltraSound if bloodwork interpretation indicates abnormalities and a sizable risk exists. I asked the staff a large number of questions about estimates and surgeries and tests and risk and even how to check for tumors!!! All of my questions were answered quickly, fair rates were given for the items I asked about and had performed. $195 is what I spent on EVERYTHING from today and fair surgery prices were quoted. The doctor who's name I need to call and ask for again, was extremely sweet and understanding, AND SHOWED ME HOW TO CHECK MY DOGS ABDOMEN FOR POTENTIAL TUMORS!!! had I previously had that knowledge, my Josephine maybe here today. This hospital is a blessing to this community, the pets, and pet parents it serves.
