The Desert Foothills Library is a wonderful and beautiful library, described as one of the best and most organized ever experienced. It is a lovely, serene, and clean space with a gorgeous outside seating area featuring a fountain and a desert walking trail. The library itself is intimate with nice large windows, well-kept areas, and a thoughtfully chosen collection of books. It offers a variety of classes, library services, and activities for all ages, including a dedicated room for teenagers, a children's play area, a kitchen for culinary classes, and a special section for homeschooling resources. A significant highlight is the Chapter2 used bookstore, a great place to shop for used and rare books, which alongside the library is privately funded by the community. The staff is consistently welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, quiet, and courteous. Additional amenities include computers in their own room, desk space, and quiet seating areas. It is a wonderful resource for more than just books and a favorite community spot.
