Huge fail, lazy staff, go to Lowe's. Stand around and get grumpy when asked to work. Never again. It is scream shame. This store used to be really good. They were helpful, friendly and actually made an effort to help. Not any more. Five employees stood around while an elderly staff member worked the only open register. She was having issues finding a price in one piece of wood and had to walk back to lumber 3,times while the line grew. Not once did any of the five even offer you Ella screwy stood chatting no more than. Six feet away. When I mentioned to a staffer, I was told, " you don't know what your talkin about." OK, I went to Lowe's across the street and I was very pleased. Lesson learned.

Not sure what happened to the store, it used to be full of employees that actually knew what they were talking about, and cared about their jobs. Now, you're lucky to find an employee that can literally find their butt with both hands. Not only do they not care about your project or you, most don't even realize they're working at a "do it yourself" store. I think they're missing the idea.Let's not get into the fact that Home Depot, at least this particular store, has probably the worst building material in the valley. You sort through 50 pieces of lumber to get one decent one. It's so frustrating that you end up calling somebody else and paying the extra money to have them deliver quality material to your job site. What a joke. Not sure what happened to HOME DEPOT, but I wish they'd take a page out of the past.

Fairly decent Home Depot. Store is clean. Associates are actually quite helpful, and if they can't help, like when I was in electrical, they went out of their way to help find the answer and get the right person. Only issue I've had is incorrect price tags. A chair said $20, but another label said $25. Same with a shovel. And other products are just overpriced (looking at you Hampton Bay) when compared with the quality of the brand. I'd highly recommend this HD over the Lowe's across the street.

Flooring was represented as light grey flooring, Home Depot sold it to us not knowing it really was a a patchwork floor. All windows of boxes have light grey in the windowThey offered us 1/2 back of almost $3500.00Think about shopping here, we surly don't deserve their rudeness Wonder how many of these floors they misrepresented , and all the people who are being treated less than

Pointless to go here--order online or somewhere else. Tried for more than an hour (at two separate times) to purchase a fridge and none of the three cashiers or appliance people could figure out how to do it. You have to have the mobile app to get the veteran discount (even if it's on your license), and when we returned items we purchased online, we got store credit that cannot be used online (wait, what?). Also had not a single two-burner cooktop in the store to even look at. Don't waste your time like we did.

This is one of, if not the best Home Depot I've experienced. Friendly, helpful staff that actually direct you to the right places when you ask where things are. For some reason parking never seems to be a pleasing experience at any HD, but it's ok. I wasn't in there to buy plants, but I did walk through and they appeared well cared for. The wood is good by modern standards, it was easy to find pieces I could use that weren't warped or full of knots.

LOVE OUR HOME TOWN HOME DEPOT!! THANKS TO THE MGR's LUZ (her name means light in Spanish and she is!!) and Pam!! No wonder this Home Depot runs so smoothly every time we are in there! I can't believe they followed what I was trying to accomplish! I came in there with a very complicated ticket fromthe Thunderbird Home Depot (not at any fault of that store). My sister lives over by there and we purchased appliances together on Black Friday in order to get a special they were running. In hindsight, we should have purchased them separately but we wouldn't have gotten the discount. Once we purchased them together our ticket wouldn't let us separate delivery. This is where these girls came in. It was not an easy task. They figured out a way to move my appliances over to my own ticket so I could get my own delivery and keep my discount. Bless their hearts! They also helped me with a plethora of information on my new appliances!! They also talked to the Mgr. Sherri over at the Thunderbird store who was a sweetheart. I think it must be a prerequisite to work at a Home Depot! THANK YOU SO MUCH LUZ (you are a light that shines bright!),Pam -you are so patient and sweet, and Sherri for being a doll! Much appreciation!!

Just bought a Christmas tree about 6 days ago and it is COMPLETELY DEAD. YES I HAVE WATERED IT...I called this home depot(I live in CC and I bought from them). The lady on the phone wanted to argue as to how fresh the tree is and that without a receipt I'm not getting a new tree. I bought on my credit card so the receipt part is fine. He attitude is what is horrible. The customer service SUCKS. The rudeness of employee is horrible. DO BETTER when your in customer service. BTW, I was overly nice on the phone. Now home depot should deliver me a new tree.

Don't do curbside pickup at this location. Got the e-mail that it's ready, came and punched in the info once I got here. 30 min later and still waiting. Maybe other locations are better at it. Whenever I deal with Lowes, I never have issues. If it was a water heater, I'd go in myself and get it.

After taking back two different gardwn hoses, I asked for a sale price on the third garden hose. They looked at me like I was trying to steal something from them. They kept telling me that it was a different hose and I had to pay the full price. I did pay the full price and walked out with the hose but definitely was being judged for asking for a discount on the more expensive hose. And when I checked out at the front checkout gal said I'll give you a discount if you open it Home Depot card. Ha ha. I had picked up according to my receipt a contractors grade hose by the same manufacturer. Turns out they have two of theses but different quality!! The first one I purchased was now buried in the garden department on the back wall in a horse trough, not with the other garden hose selection bay. Definitely not good customer service today. The picture is of the hose from Home Depot which is the second one I had purchased and lasted less than three days.

My husband and I went to Home Depot last Friday afternoon and needed help with selecting a bbq grill and some plants for our new home. We asked for help and we were blessed to get Barry to help us. He went over and beyond the call of duty. He helped us pick the best trees, bushes and a grill. Did I mention that he did all of this during a bad downpour and wind of a monsoon! He even helped us load all of our purchases and took us through the nursery to pick the best plants. He is an absolute treasure of knowledge and an asset to Home Depot!

Generally when I go into Home Depot I have a fabulous time but I must say when I went into the garden center in Cave Creek I was totally Blown Away with disappointment! There were employees milling around and not a single one asked me if they could help me in any way, there was an older gentleman that also needed help and he stood around and stood around and no one asked him either. An entire rack a beautiful sunflowers were dying they were right out in the sun and they hadn't been watered in I don't know how long! They were dry as a bone! I asked an employee to please page a manager so I could talk to him,, and he never paged a manager. When I paid for my purchases the cashier had to page the manager for me,, the manager never came out so I had to go and find a manager and bring him out to the Garden Center to show him the terrible condition his plants were in. And all I got was some automated excuse as to why he couldn't water them! Those plants were $20 a piece and I wouldn't give you 20 cents for them now! What is happening at The Cave Creek Home Depot? When I go into the other Home Depots in the valley they are wonderful,, you better step up your Game Cave Creek!

I have been shopping at Home Depot since the late 90's and at this location (as well as others nearby) for the last 20 years. With the advent of the Internet it's easy enough to make a shopping list that directs me to the aisle and bay. I have purchased power tools and wood from this place as well as pool chemicals and electrical items. I also rented equipment here. I also took my daughter here on Saturdays for her to build and paint projects when she was younger. They gave her an apron (her size) and we have very happy memories. The staff is fairly knowledgeable but it really helps to do your own research online and ask the staff for help in pointing you in the right direction. There was only one occasion where I bought something that turned out to be a mistake i.e. I'd rather you not tell me something that may be wrong advice than to tell it to me as if you know what you're talking about in other words, if you don't know, don't make up something. The hundreds of good experiences far outweigh the one bad experience. Return policies are great and they give you plenty of time to return something.

I understand policies and I do not want to be 'that guy', but the customer service could be better. I was picking up a 10' Ocotillo and needed to impose on a friend with a truck. So after going there several times over the course of a few weeks waiting for them to get more stock, today they had stock so I picked one. Then I was informed that they do NOT hold plants even when paid for. I even spoke to a manager, Bill, who just dismissed me. So now I need to co ordinate, go back in like two hours and hope the one or two that I would buy are still there, or I have not only been inconvenienced, but so has my busy friend.

I received truly outstanding customer service from Mr. LLoyd and his store team! I received a shipment that I had ordered from Home Depot online and when it arrived it was packaged in such a manner that it was impossible for me to remove the heavier items from the pallet. I called the Cave Creek store and relayed my dilemma and within an hour there were two strong gentlemen who arrived and unloaded the pallet for me! This is the type of service I was used to from the local hardware stores years ago but it was unexpected from a national company the size of Home Depot. I highly recommend you patronize this store regularly to help reward them for such excellent customer service!
