Pre-paid for the delivery of 250 gallons as part of their summer package this last year. Witnessed the very first fill up to 85% and never saw them again. Then a bill comes in the mail for $250+ saying they filled my tank with another 80+ gallons over the prepaid 250. I've periodically checked my tank from the first fill up and steadily watched it decrease over time. Not once did that tank have a higher percentage in it then the month prior. I had understood that I was on "Will Call" service as part of my initial conversation with the lady handling the pre-pay service. Come to find out they supposedly switched me to auto fill after the pre-buy was done. I'm now speculating how they came on days that I'm home (I work from home 15 feet from the tank) without either of my dogs (corgis, notorious for barking at everything) making a peep or myself hearing them back a huge tank truck up to my tank. Which I have full visibility of my tank and side house from my office window. Seems suspicious, so I called the office and would not be allowed to talk to anyone's manager regarding my questions. Told that they can take my name and number and have the manager call me back. Don't worry, I'll be in the office bright and early in the morning.*Edit*After meeting with the customer service manager Kory my doubts and issues were resolved. He went through every detail of my concern with me and cleared my mind. I left them a few thoughts for feedback such as not switching someone's delivery status from will call to auto when they purchase gas. Along with some training opportunities for the customer service rep who made me suspicious by the defensiveness to let me speak with their manager.

The staff & drivers for Suburban Propane has always been available to answer or satisfy my requests. We've used them for many years and have never been disappointed. The Prescott, AZ area is fortunate to be so well serviced by Suburban Propane!

This company doesn't care about their customers. I'm a single mom and I work really hard for what I get and I didn't have enough money to fill my tank and I had a $100 just to put a $100 in until I got paid to the 15th, and this company refused to put me put in propane in my tank. What's all my children were called? I don't recommend this company for anybody because they're all about the money. They're not about the customer or the person or the human or even children.

The beginning relationship of being a new customer and the paperwork was easy, however, when the 2 technicians came out was a flipping nightmare! We fixed a leak, the 2nd tech came out and said we had another leak, which we did not. He was supposed to come into our home, which he did not and took the tank and left. We did get a full refund, but their technicians need to be trained better.

In the past I’ve been told NOT to call until I have the money to pay for the propane. Meaning, I cannot set up delivery, then call and pay prior to the delivery. I have to wait til money is in hand.As such, I called today - payday. I was told it is too late to be put on the schedule without paying an additional out of route fee, even though they will be delivering tomorrow, my delivery day.I was further told I could have called yesterday, and they would have held payment til today. I explained that in the past I’ve been told I cannot do that, otherwise I would have.So $100 gallons of propane effectively cost me $600. It was that or run out. While the woman I spoke to, Erica, was lovely, whomever manages the facility was completely unwilling to budge. So having to choose between groceries and heat; I chose heat. When I asked for the manager’s name, she pull not share it and suggested I call corporate.

Suburban delivers as promised, the office staff are courteous and the fact that they offer a prebuy program is awesome.

We recently purchased a new home. We took possession during a very cold and snowy week. At closing, there was virtually no gas left in the tank. Erica and Darlene were both very helpful and worked hard to solve our dilemma. We really appreciate the two of them going the extra mile to help us.

Kory and Keith were the absolute best with moving our propane tank yesterday. They hooked up everything and then continued to do so much more to help us get the yard cleared up. Tish and Erica, in the office, are 2 of the most polite young ladies to talk with. We thank you Suburban Propane for all of your help!! Cindy and Jerry Thinnes

Apparently our underground tank is having an issue with the guage....which has already been replaced once. We are STUCK with their tank. We have been told to let it run down close to 0 for them to fix whatever the problem is. Seriously?Any idea how much it will cost to fill that? We are on a budget...as most people are. This is their problem and they are making it ours.

We’ve been a Suburban customer for three years and needed our “peanut” tank upgraded to a larger tank. We cannot say enough about Keith and Corey and the excellent service that they provided. Corey did an outstanding job on the trenching, etc. Keith was our point guy and everything went great. So grateful!! Thanks you guys!!!!

We purchased a 3 year old house - Suburban placed and serviced the tank for that time - when we bought the house, to start propane service, we had to have them inspect the tank - they told us the tank was too close to a light fixture and electrical outlet that were part of the original build. They then shut off our service and "tagged out" the tank they apparently placed in a non compliant location! We were told we could move the tank at our expense or remove and cap the light and outlet so we had to modify the house to continue propane service after they had been filling it for 3 years! If I didn't have 1000 other things to do during our move I would have told them to come get the tank and we'd get service elsewhere, which may very well happen in the near future.

In a word, "TERRIBLE" Since I use very little propane since I put solar panels on my roof, it's been over 5 years since I've had to fill my propane tank. The take was originally leased from Santa Fe Propane in Chino Valley AZ, but this company was bought out by Suburban Propane around 2021. I called the local office and asked how often they check the corrosion system on their tanks, and the reply was ~every 3-4 years. When I told then that it's been over 5 years, they scheduled a tech to come out and test the corrosion system, which was functioning properly and there was no cost. During my initial phone call, I was informed that Suburban had implemented an annual minimum propane purchase of 35gal/year, for customers like me who use very little propane. When I told the local office I was never informed about this new policy, she said that it's been problematic notifying customers. I asked for a copy of this policy to be emailed to me, she said she couldn't do that. I then asked for their local branch manager to give me a call. NOBODY ever called me back!! so I called again, said that I'd like to schedule the 35 gal fill, which was not problem, but that I said I never received any documentation on this annual 35 gal propane purchase, nor a call from the local office manager. All I got were apologies, and more excuses. I finally got my 35 gal fill after 2 tries, but also was billed for two fills. Somehow, this double billing was rectified on it's own, else I was going to have to call them back again. So, If I could change propane tank leasing companies I would, but I can't, so I guess I'm stuck w/this TERRIBLE service for the rest of the time I own my home. I just wish that Suburban Propane would get their act together.Frustrated and Unhappy Customer,Mark Emanuele
