About Shep's Miners Inn
Shep's Miners Inn is an original and truly typical historic hotel, offering a cool and unique place to stay. The welcome is warm from the very friendly staff and townsfolk, with amazing hospitality. The city of Chloride is special with a very strange atmosphere, providing a unique experience and a lot of history away from touristy towns. Rooms are nothing fancy, rather cramped and small with facilities from another era, but that is precisely what gives the hotel its charm. They are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The restaurant serves some of the best breakfast on the road, with great food and drinks that are amazing and fair priced, though it closes early at 5 PM. The location is walkable to local stores and services. With great views and a perfect vibe for a getaway, it is an amazing place where guests would definitely go back and stay longer.
Great little motel, but beware the only restaurant in town is part of the hotel which is only open Fri/Sat/Sun even though their website says it's open 7 days a week. We ended up going to Oysters Mexican and Seafood - it was about 20 miles away, but worth the drive.

Original and truly typical hotel. The welcome is warm. The city is special with a very strange atmosphere coming out of the very touristy neighboring stopover towns. The room is rather cramped with facilities from another era but that is precisely what gives it its charm.

Food and drinks: Servers were lovely - very friendly and tentative, and beers were nice. Would have stayed longer if we'd had more time. Would definitely go back.
