If you live in Verde Valley, you must visit and get a guided tour. The amount of knowledge you will gain is overwhelming!Disabled? Use the door closest to the parking lot. Ring the bell.If you are abled bodied. Use the front door facing Main St (by giant chess board). Please slowly go through and stare at all the art work. The owners are active in the museum. Great neighbors.

I have been to museums , but this is such a rich museum, it's just one of the best to understand the geography, landscape, and history of Arizona. It's so insightful and so informative. It's a nice place to learn new stuff and culture and about the town.Take your time and you will thoroughly enjoy it and maybe even a bit overwhelmed by the experience as I was with so much info.

Unique. Who knew there was so much to learn about copper? An extensive collection, displayed in excellent fashion. As well, there is a fascinating background of Mr Clark, and how this collection came to be. The curator is a well spoken British gentleman and a wealth of information. Good parking, easy access. Not far from Cottonwood, but indeed off the beaten trail as a solo destination. Worth a visit, plan on spending about one hour.

What a bright tribute to all things copper, and Arizona's contributions. We were impressed by the gorgeous collection of copper antiquities. The museum is housed in the old Clarkdale high school, and that lends itself to a vintage vibe. The old classrooms are very well organized and the curators did a fabulous job presenting the material. You definitely want to set aside at least an hour or more to make your way through the venue. This would also make a great place to set up a special event or school field trip. My hat's off to the team who put their heart and soul into this Copper Art Museum. It's a treasure.

This was such a great experience! It has some really neat artifacts and information. My 11 year old wanted to go for her birthday, and even though we're local, we'd never been. I'm so glad that we went. We spent an hour abd a half, but we were told it'd be about 45-hour, but we were very thorough and read everything. It's so neat! It's definitely worth the price, and will be going back!

I truly enjoyed my tour of the Arizona Cooper Art Museum. There are a wide variety of objects on display. The accompanying explanations are clear and interesting. The museum attendant was knowledgeable and increased our appreciation by offering additional context. Of added interest is the fact that the museum is housed in a 1930's era school.

We had no idea what exactly to expect when we entered the museum. It was excellent! The building was formerly a school that was turned into a museum. We spent more than two hours walking around, going into each room, and even the hallways were loaded with exhibits. So very interesting, we had no idea all the things made out of copper. Items were well displayed with detailed information, so much that we read a lot of it, but not all of it. We also liked they had a small placque outside each room telling what the room was used for in the school building such as library, science, history, etc. Definitely recommend visiting this museum.

Worth every copper penny!!!! This is the place to take your out of town guests! Worth the road trip from Phoenix to Clarkdale and a visit to this phenomenon collection of practical copper items. Bring in the old Clarkdale High School building and seeing the old photos of the students and their clothes was really fun! Come back' yesteryear! The museum displays were really well done and the museum was beautiful. I loved that there was a wheelchair we could borrow -as my mom couldn't have gone through the displays without that wheelchair. Thank you so much for suggesting that when you saw her with her cane. We tried to find a bite to eat while in Clarkdale, and sadly the brewery only had "snacks". So we headed back to Cottonwood and had lunch at the Thai Palace and that was the perfect ending for our road trip to see the Arizona Copper Art Museum! We will always renter what a lovely collection of copper art is there. I loved the horse painting, the musical horn, the fancy ovens, the beautiful iron furnishings in the kitchen area, and all the details on the artillery shells.

There is nothing like reminiscing over the past whilst enjoying the beauty of it too! So many things to see here, and it is so well organized that despite all the things to see, you don’t ever feel too overwhelmed.

Very cool and interesting place! Learning about the history of copper makes for a unique experience. There is a lot to see especially on the artwork. It is enroute through Clarksdale to the Verde Canyon Railroad so adding it to the iternary before or after the train ride makes for a nice additonal stop to add to the iternary.
