Stayed in Congress during the winter snowbirding. Staff at this post office is friendly and helpful. My only issues is this post office doesn't have any delivery (letter carriers). Its absurd that in 2024, there is no mailmen or mailwomen delivering mail in this town? They also will hold mail under general delivery for only 30 days and if you're in town longer then they want you to pay for a PO box which is a money grab. Regardless what the excuse is (or reason) our tax dollars and postage should pay for mail delivery in this town. Hire letter carriers or rural delivery contractors! No excuse that UPS and FedEx will deliver to an address in Congress AZ but USPS will not...

Went to the post office to cancel our temporary mail forwarding order after returning from our summer vacation. Clerk/postmaster at the counter told us we had to complete a new mail forwarding order, which we did. WRONG! We learned a week later from another post office that that the correct procedure is to complete a cancellation card for our temporary forwarding, and that the new mail forwarding order that the Congress postmaster instructed us to submit was rejected because it was the wrong way to cancel a temporary mail forwarding order. There was a time in the not too distant past when you could count on the post office to know what they are doing; not any more.

Give credit where credit is due!!! They are doing their best with being short staffed and machinery being taken out! Government has not been so nice to these guys, so give them your smile next time!

Like any small town Post Office, they have a more small town relaxed atmosphere and more restrictions. General delivery hours are 1:00 - 4:00 PM like most POs. Just about every PO in the country has at least one rude one, but my experience was good. Just the normal routine to pickup my GD packages.

total lack of service. needed a general delivery package that was sent there. they wouldnt go to nack to get it even though i had proof of delivery. i travel full time, so never got the package. this place is a perfect example of why the postal service is so poorly run.

This is the worst Post office ever. You need to have special knowledge of their general delivery hrs. only open for general delivery 1 pm - 4 pm. Not posted anywhere on the business hrs. I am new to the area and am unaware of this post office's special hrs. and the male customer service person treated me very rudely when I tried to pick up general delivery before 1 pm. Very bad experience.

This post office only allows general delivery pick up only from 1 -4 pm. They also close from 12-1. They're only open until 4:30 pm, and closed on Saturday and Sunday. They're not busy, but they have quirky policies and hours.
