This small historic boutique hotel in old town Cottonwood AZ is a great place to stay with competitive rates. Most of the rooms are theme related. John Wayne room, Mare West room, Sky Watch and Wine room.

Fun and eclectic hotel, not typical but super cool. No lobby or restaurant but rooms have been redone and the room John Wayne stayed in was great. Plenty of food to be found just down the street. Try it

My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend in October. We did wine tasting and went on the Verde Canyon Railroad. Each time we came back to the room we commented on how nice it was. We stayed in the 1925 room. 2 queen beds, ceiling fans over each and there was even a floor fan provided! We really enjoyed out stay. The room was clean and the host would send periodic text messages to let us know the room was ready and ask how we were enjoying our stay. Absolute great place right in the heart of Cottonwood.

We stayed in unit 8 for the weekend and it was a great option for what we needed! Right in the heart of downtown, was walkable to all the shops/restaurants/tasting rooms. Quick drive to Jerome and Sedona. Communication with the owner was timely and check in/out process was super easy. Loved the shared balcony feature! Our unit didn't have any "living room" space, but we didn't need it for our weekend. I know other units have different layouts so I'd read the descriptions before booking to find one that meets your specific needs.

This is a delightful hotel right on the main drag in Cottonwood. We stayed with our dogs and it was wonderful. The kitchenette was a great bonus! Bed was very comfortable, shower excellent, and it was super clean. Karen is an excellent host! We are retuning for another visit in May.

I’m a little late on posting my review but better late than never! First let me just say this place is just amazing!! My husband and I have been to cottonwood numerous times and walked by the cottonwood hotel without even realizing it. It truly is a hidden gem. We stayed in the galaxy room which faces Main Street and enjoyed the balcony overlooking everything. We like to unwind at kactus Kate’s so this was perfect as it’s right across the street. The suite was absolutely adorable with a living room area kitchen area and bedroom. The reviews before mentioned the bathroom being small but I didn’t think it was to bad and the shower had great water pressure which was amazing since that’s a rare thing anymore. I would highly recommend staying here as it’s not just like every other hotel. It has character and charm and we will definitely be staying her again. The fun part is each room is decorated in its own theme so you can pick where you want to stay. I think next time we will try the John Wayne room or maybe the wine room heck maybe we will try both eventually lol. If you decide to stay here I have no doubt you will enjoy your decision very much. Thank you for an amazing stay! :)

To start off, I want to be up front, this is not the place we wanted to stay.My wife and I made a late decision to head up north for our anniversary, and this was the only place that had availability on main Street.THANK GOD!We stayed in the John Wayne suite that was right next to the balcony. And I honestly believe that the people that passed this over for somewhere else, absolutely missed out!Now you have to keep in mind, this place is historic, the bathroom is tiny, the wood floors are creaky. However, I have stayed in places similar that were not as clean, quaint, and centrally located. It is very secure, your privacy is guaranteed, decorated perfectly to highlight the history, but also provided modern comforts.Second floor patrons can sit on the (shared) balcony and people watch from above, while enjoying a glass of wine. You are treated to a beautiful view which I am imagine would change as the seasons do.And this is where I get to talk about the innkeeper, Karen, and her trusty Great Dane Malak! Her communication is fantastic, but if you want privacy, you will get that. I would suggest not wanting that much privacy because you need to talk to her about the building, the history, and what she did to restore it to the prohibition times when it was in its glory!Karen is a beautiful soul! And Malak is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever met, but also lets you know it's his world, and your living in it.Cottonwood Hotel also offers private parking (reasonable additional charge) which is absolutely essential on weekends. We are not just planning another trip to stay there on our way through, we are specifically planning a trip to stay there again.

This is a small boutique hotel right in the heart of Old Town Cottonwood. You can't ask for a better location. Right in the middle of the action. The room was small but comfortable. Be warned, the bathroom is tiny. Tall or larger people may have trouble here. Was a fun weekend tasting wine up and down the street. It also close to wineries and Sedona.

Location was stellar as hotel is right downtown, thus why we chose it HOWEVER, there was NO internet as advertised, the air conditioning unit was in the middle of suite and locked at a certain temperature and could not be turned down and did NOT cool the bedroom so sleeping was tough as it was HOT. Additionally place was not clean, kitchen was not equipped and bathroom was teeny tiny. We thought the "John Wayne" theme would be fun but there was little about that even. I would NOT recommend this hotel, choose another and if all full, go another time wish I did.

Highly recommend this place to stay. The inn keeper Karen was so nice, thoughtful and very helpful. Our door was not working right and it was late at night, but she came right over to help! And she checked in on us to see if we were okay. We stayed in unit 8. It was clean and had so much character. The furniture was sooo cute! The bathroom was small but had lots of character. The furniture in there made the small bathroom workable so that there were other places to put your stuff on. This hotel is in prime location walkable to all the winery, shops and restaurants! Highly recommend!!

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I've read a review from a person that didn't even stay here. I'm very confused by the review. I had no issue at all booking a room on their website. Since she didn't book a room she doesn't realize that you are provided with an email before you arrive that lets you know they do not give out keys to rooms and, instead, they provide you with a text letting you know your room is ready and what your key code to the room is. Now, they also let you know that if you prefer a personal check in you can make arrangements for that. This was something we really appreciated. The host was outside with her dog and talked to us as well as sent several text messages to ask how we were enjoying our stay and if we needed anything. That, to me, is not like an Air B&B and is also more than you get at most hotels anymore. We stayed in the 1925 room which gave use two separate queen beds. Very comfy beds. Each room had a ceiling fan and we were provided with a mini fridge as well. Convenient location for walking around Cottonwood and they have a great balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The host also gave us suggestions for dinner and things to do during our stay. We enjoyed our stay here very much and will for sure be back.

Second time staying here, great location and within walking distance to all the tasting rooms. Karen is awesome and very accommodating! Love staying here when we're in Cottonwood!
