Excellent natural food store that we are so lucky to have in Cottonwood! Great selections of bulk dried fruit and nuts for very reasonable prices, cheaper and better quality than the grocery stores. Good selection of bulk wholesome flours, dry beans, cereals. Best bulk spices in town, always fresh. Also a great selection of natural and alternative medicines. Plus a small but fresh selection of organic produce. Grab a kombucha squash or some unsulphured dried Turkish apricots now!

Mount Hope is clean and fresh, well-stocked with natural foods, supplements, and personal care items. I love their fresh almond butter!

I could not find rye flour until I came here. A nice fresh bag in the bulk section was waiting for me.

Really went downhill since covid. The produce is old and I constantly get weird looks when I go in without my mask. Rude attendants at the counter, and never been approached to see if I need help. I shop orga in at Safeway now, unfortunately or head into sedona for interdependence foods. It's smaller but higher quality all around. Cheaper as well since they seem to constantly mark things down.

Fantastic selection, helpful, knowledgeable, friendly staff. Manuka honey and bulk tinctures. FLAWLESS organic greens. Exceedingly clean. Items I've not seen in other like-stores. Free little library outside. Bring your own bag, no restrooms.

Deeply impressed by the smorgasbord of all the quality herbs, vitamins and tonics. It's a literal candy store of health items. Best looking red leaf lettuce and cilantro this side of Arizona! Polite and friendly staff. A diamond. ? ?

Let me start this review with I had loved Mount Hope thought they were one of the best Health Food stores, but not anymore. I was in there yesterday and purchased one of their plant based protein powder meals. It's called Nature Plus Spiru-tein. I admit I did not read the ingredients before purchasing this product because of my high regard for this store. I had a drink this morning made with it and wondered why it was so sweet so I read the ingredients. the 4th ingredient was FRUCTOSE!!!!!!! Why they put poison in a healthy drink is beyond me. I call it poison because this is what FRUCTOSE CAN DO TO YOU:Ingestion of fructose chronically has contributed to multiple health consequences, such as insulin resistance, obesity, liver disorders, and diabetes. Fructose metabolism starts with fructose phosphorylation by fructose kinase in the liver, and this process is not feedback regulated. How can you call yourself a Health store and have FRUCTOSE in any of your products. This was not a cheap product!

Not sure what happened, Mt Hope used to be a good spot like 5 or 6 years ago - now it's just weird customer service and high prices. I like to support independent when I can, but in this case Natural Grocers gets all my money and Mt Hope gets none any longer ??

Mediocre/uptight ambiance except for one helpful male worker in supplements. Super high prices. Excellent food but could have a wider array of options. Service is good with a dash of awkward. The employees have a fearful tone like they are being dictated to or watched too closely by management/ownership (Not east for me to give my business to). Lighten up!!

The store is small, but you can find unique products. I would say that it is similar to Sprouts.

I've shopped in Mt. Hope since moving to the area during the pandemic. There have been a number of items I tried and was not happy with, but did not bother returning them. I recently purchase a snack that was almost $6.00, and tried it before I left the parking lot. It was inedible due to being extremely dried out.I brought it back in, the young cashier said, "We can't let you return anything that's been opened." I asked how we would know if something was bad if it hadn't been opened and he pointed over to Customer Service. The two women seated there looked at me with disbelief, one said, "You can't return something just because you don't LIKE it!" They insisted on calling down the woman who is the manager, I've seen her deal with other people and said, 'No, that's OK.' I was not looking for a confrontation. They did anyway and the manager glared at me, stood with her arms crossed and told me I could write a letter to the manufacturer for a refund if I didn't like the product, then called out in a sarcastic tone, "Have a nice day!" as I left the store.I cannot shop in a store that does not stand behind their products. I understand this is a "Mom and Pop" kind of store. As expensive as groceries are at this time in the world, I can't spend my grocery money at a store that allows no returns or refunds AND tries to shame a customer for trying to exchange a bad purchase for something edible. I like supporting small businesses, but only businesses that show respect for customers. The Customer Service duo called down the manager knowing how she would react, as if it were a game they were playing. After shopping there for three years and seeing how they speak to people in addition to this incident, I will not step foot in the store again. It's worth the 30 minute drive to Sedona to go to Natural Grocers. The owners of Mount Hope probably don't care enough to read their reviews, but it's time to close and retire, y'all! Maybe Natural Grocers would want to buy your location.

Really disappointing. Most meat was well beyond its “best buy” date. Ground beef 14 days past, chicken was >20 days past. Limited produce. If you want a bunch of healthy-ish processed foods, this may be the place for you.
