Painted Rock Petroglyph Site and Campground, located about 90 miles southwest of Phoenix, Arizona, is a unique destination for nature and history lovers. Great place to take a side trip off the highway. It's a very easy 11 miles in and 11 miles back out. Lots of petroglyphs to look at. Plenty of parking. There is a very clean pit toilet with toilet paper!

Great hosts on site and the place is kept up. Clean, quiet, well-spaced campsites. No shade, and no water (pit toilets.) Fire pits and big stone tables at each campsite, with all or mostly pull-throughs.
