“Dennehotso Boarding School has endured many changes over the years since it's beginnings in the late 1930's. It provided early educational opportunities for students from surrounding communities. When I first started school in 1954, I remember students from; Oljato, Chilchinbeto, Mexican Water, Rock Point, Many Farms, and Teecsnospos. In essence the community of Dennehotso was the educational hub of the local communities at the time. Over the years Dennehotso Boarding School has produced its own principal, its own teachers, NN Chief Justice, NN Attorney General, doctors and top notch leaders in the community. Today, Dennehotso Boarding School continues to excel in producing state champion wrestlers and other sports. All in all, the community is extremely proud of it's Dennehotso Hawks.”
