“I have been to SSI (Sunshine Serv Inc) several times for my wife and I. We borrowed some ramps first, unfortunately could not get them to work for us. We returned the ramps and picked up a wheelchair. We've had it for a year+ now.
As long as you live in Sun City, you can use these items indefinitely for no charge! And I'm my case I was denied SSDI 12 years ago. Unfortunately I've been unable to work since 2010, so I don't have the necessary 'work credits' to be eligible again. So.. I haven't had income in 16 years, and Sunshine is beyond any value to me.
Last year I borrowed a rollator which has helped my mobility a lot. This was after AHCCCS sent me a tiny toy rollator because I was 10 lbs under their bariatric cutoff. Totally useless to me, but my wife uses it daily so it wasn't a complete waste. I have to wait one more year to replace it.

“As travelling tourists, we expected to stop in briefly—but instead, we were welcomed like family. Connie, Jeff, David, and all the other wonderful folks made us feel instantly at home. The studio itself is beautifully organized, vibrant, and clearly run with care and heart. We honestly wished we could have stayed longer and become members.
This gallery/studio is such a gift to its community. Beyond the space itself, their outreach work with kids, veterans, seniors, and so many others is inspiring. They truly open doors and expand worlds through art, connection, and kindness. What a special place—thank you for making us feel so welcome and reminding us of the power art has to bring people together.”
“What a wonderful No-Kill Cat Rescue facility! Very clean and well organized. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. They allow bonding time with the kittens in a large pen to help you decide. If you can't adopt then please donate.”

“As a young veteran who is still trying to find his way in this world, this is probably one of the best posts in AZ. I've been down on my luck lately and they have been so kind and understanding. The bar service is great, bartenders are quick and provide great food and drink. Just beware that the kitchen closes a bit early, the chef makes some of the best bar food as well. Prices are good, it is a private club that requires a membership, so it feels a bit more comfortable, allows you to relax a bit more.
If you're in AZ and looking for a good Legion post, this is it. Every night we honor our brothers and sisters with a toast.”
“I’ve been shopping at Sun City Thrift Shop for the past couple of years and always find the best hidden gems for myself, my husband, and family & friends. The shop is spotlessly clean, warm, welcoming, and has such fun decor. Every visit is such a relaxing, enjoyable experience.
I stopped in on my way home Friday, and while checking out, the owner noticed my teacher shirt. As an elementary educator for the past 8 years, the thoughtful act of kindness they showed me truly made my whole day.

“I suffered a stroke 3 years ago, and Benevilla is such a great place for an adaptive gym. You feel such a camaraderie with fitness classes with others are also working for their goals. Lori, Rudy, and Coach Briggs are fantastic. When you walk in you can definitely feel the compassion an and inspiration. Recommend this place to anybody for confidence and better quality of life.”

“The mens shirts are packed on the rack so tight you cant get them out or put them back in. Also Goodwill now puts clothes together in order of color?why? doesnt make sense.. lets go back to size so i'm not searching in every row of clothes.. also there were no kidding about 25 people working here on a monday morning.. one cashier with a line 10 people deep.. didnt open a register.. can we fix this please? Next time i am grabbing a manager.

“Everyone is always so nice. Inventory, of course, changes daily....even hourly. But I always see nice things, even if not something I would buy. Most prices are reasonable. Occasionally, I feel as though items are priced too high. Overall, one of my favorite thrift stores! Highly recommended.”
“My daughter recently started at OSB. She loves it and so do I. Heck, I would love a program like this, with art, a gym, a music room with karaoké and instruments, education, field trips and more. Anyone on here complaining is frankly nit picking. (Like the person complaining about the provided transportation honking outside. Drive your member yourself, or have them READY TO GO and they won't need to honk!) Great program for the members, and a welcome bit of help for parents or other providers! THANK YOU OSB!”
