Friendly staff, excellent youth sport coaches and open courts for volleyball and basketball. The pool with the walk-in feature is perfect for younger children. Affordable and has kids care too for help with children during common work out times of day. Classes are fun and a lot more online to do at home too with the app.

Parents, my advice is straightforward: stay far away from the Northwest Valley YMCA Jr Suns program. Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare. The program is plagued by unfair treatment, complete disregard for player welfare, and a dismissive attitude towards concerns raised by parents and teams.During our season, we faced a series of biased decisions that culminated in a demoralizing playoff loss (60-11), thanks to an extremely unfair bracket placement. Our repeated attempts to address these issues were met with indifference. Even more distressing was the program director, Mr. Mark Gretter’s suggestion that our complaints were causing personal animosity among the staff. This program not only failed to provide a positive experience but actively diminished our young players’ love for the sport. If you’re considering this program for your child, my advice is to run in the opposite direction and find a program that values fairness, respect, and the developmental needs of young athletes.

As another parent who experienced the same issues with the Northwest Valley YMCA Jr Suns program, I feel compelled to echo the concerns previously mentioned. Our team, too, suffered from the program’s unfair practices and complete disregard for player welfare. Our assistant coach reported these issues, highlighting the unfair treatment and biased game setups we endured, but there was no action taken. This neglect peaked during the playoffs, where an unjust bracketing led to a demoralizing loss and, worse, physical injuries. After the game, we had three players with injuries, a direct result of the program’s negligence and the excessively competitive environment they fostered. It’s alarming to see a youth sports program show such indifference to the well-being and safety of its players. This experience has been eye-opening, and I strongly urge other parents to steer clear of this program. It’s crucial to find a setting that prioritizes the health, safety, and positive development of young athletes.

The help has drastically changed. These are friendly, but… not the same. Main complaint is the place is dirty. The front entrance is just gross. Look’s like some one threw up. The windows are awful. A monkey could do better. The floors are dirty and equip covered in dust and dust around equip. Its really gone down hill in the last 6 months. Its closed on Sunday why don’t they get professional into clean. Don’t say its non profit. I worked at non profit. I know how that works. Good thing we still have wipes to clean our machines we use.

I just need to celebrate the wonderful staff that run the daycare and preschool at the Northwest YMCA. We enrolled our kiddo a week ago and she is flourishing. She loves school, adores her teachers and is learning a great deal about her new friends. I love that their management for kids is so flexible and based on best practice. I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about Ms. Bree, Ms. Angelica and Ms. Rachael. Ms. Bea is the director and she sets a fabulous tone for her staff. Thank you so much ladies!

YMCA Volleyball as a whole is a joke. High School boys should not be playing against middle school females. No way. YMCA needs to get rid of this Co-ed nonsense. The WNBA doesn't play the NBA and at this age level the genders need their own leagues. Fix it.

I love this daycare it started off rough getting used to how they run things, but it was worth it, my daughter hated preschool before coming here and now she loves it. I feel like that means they keep a good pace it’s not too boring or overstimulating. I like the diversity and inclusion, everyday my daughter is greeted by her classmates with a hug and a smile and that’s a lot for her because she used to be so grumpy to have to go to school but she loves it. Thankful for the ladies who teach this class

Nothing spectacular about this place but I have not experienced any negativity like some of the other reviewers. It is kind of pricy for what I use it, though you have to consider the size and the amount of activities they provide. I just go in for a 1 hour workout on the machines and leave. I thought about using the locker room and showers, but you never know nowadays if you come across any creeps like someone else mentioned. I receive a discount, and pay through my employer so if I ever decide to cancel , I don’t think I’ll have as hard a time like others. I’ll keep coming here until something changes my mind.

I would be careful here in the near future unless the policies have been put into affect across all YMCA immediately. The YMCA is proud supporters of letting grown adult men to shower naked along your young female children. Nor do they care about how you feel. An will ban you for making it known. Good thing I don’t have a membership and have no problem speaking for my friends and family. I would suggest finding a new facility to take care of your young children because wether it’s happening now or in the future, The YMCA will allow grown adult men to shower with children in the women’s locker room and find that okay.
