came here to celebrate our anniversary, was told during check-in that there would be a $55 security deposit for the room and would be immediately returned to us upon check out. okay. we got to the room and the heater doesn't work the entire time, it was 58° in the room when we woke up. And there was a good one pump of body wash in the shower which wasn't the best.when i woke up we had another $54 charge on my card and was told that they didn't know what happened and there was nothing they could do. so i cannot help but feel being scammed, i am told my money will be back in 3-4 BUSINESS days when we stayed on a friday night. and we were once again lied to by being told there was a $15 amenity charge being taken out. amenity charge for my no body wash and cold room? the front desk employees did nothing to actually help us. thanks but no thanks. until my $95 is returned to my account i stand by my statement of never coming back again. way to make a first impression. don't come if you want to be out almost $100 within one night stay in the hotel. spend your money elsewhere.

This place deserves some major 5 Star ⭐️ recognition! I would highly recommend giving this quirky place a shot, you won’t regret it! The staff is by far the friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome! The room itself although on the small side is super clean and fun with funky lamps and a disco ball which was a great touch! The grounds are meticulously maintained. They have a heated pool, fire pit area and fun lawn activities. They also have a dog park which is a fabulous add on for our fur babies!! Don’t let the “road side motel” full you. It’s super safe and so comfortable. Lastly! Don’t forget to stop at Baja Mar for their shrimp quesadillas and tacos! We will 100% be back for sure!Rooms: Small but everything you need and very comfortableSafety: Added security and well litFood & drinks: Great options in the lobby non alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are offered.

I'm absolutely enamored with this place! Its eclectic retro yet modern design captivates me every time I visit Flagstaff, drawing me in to stay longer each time. Don’t just take my word for it, go check it out for yourself and thank me after! ?

Amazing experience! The rooms are upgraded and feel very inviting. Whoever was the interior designer is a genius, the lighting, the color combinations, the furniture... the disco ball - wow. Very reasonably priced, they have a small dog park, coffee in the morning.. I am surprised this place is not more busy!Rooms: Upgraded motel rooms. They feel very clean, upgraded and welcoming.

I was planning a little staycation trip to flagstaff for my boyfriends birthday and I wanted a place that accepted pets so we could bring ou puppy. I saw the photos of the hotel room and was compelled to stay here. We get there and the guy at checkout was super nice and helpful. We go up to our rooms and they are quite small but very quirky with the 70’s retro decor. We wanted to take a nap before dinner but could hear every footstep from our neighbors beside us. It’s a old hotel which has recently been newly renovated so this is to be expected there’s not much they can do. I asked to switch rooms and they responding back very quickly saying to come down to the lobby so that they could assist. I also however asked for a room farthest in the back to avoid the traffic noise and was put right in the front. Fast forward to when we left the hotel we left our puppy in the crate so that we could enjoy dinner. We received a text saying that he was making noise and that we should come back to check. I texted back apologizing and asking if someone would please check to see if he was still making noise before we drove all the way back there because we were far and received no response. I called down there since I didn’t get a response and nicely asked the lady to go check and see if the dog was still making noise . Mind you our room was a few steps from the lobby and she stated there’s no one to go check when she easily could’ve gotten up instead of being lazy and accommodated us. These are things you do when you run a hotel. The conversation ended and then about 30 minutes later she calls back asking if we’re going to come check on the dog because he’s still making noise. I was so infuriated at this point I said “sure” and hung up the phone and drove all the way to get him. Lugged him and the crate down the stairs when I’m pregnant with twins and all the way back to our friends place where we were lucky enough that they said he could stay for a little. I usually don’t leave reviews of this nature but I had high hopes for this place due to the reviews. Unfortunately the decor and vibes are not enough to make me ever want to come here again. It’s situations like this that really test the quality of the place you’re staying. Overall the man at the front desk and the decor were the only good things about this place. If I were him I would reconsider who I have working my front desk and hire someone who knows a thing or two about hospitality.

Ok, so this Review might be long-winded and if you want to check out a video on YouTube. At 1bigimpact I will be putting one there as well.So when you watch movies and stuff that talk about Route 66 and then you travel Route 66. It can be quite sad not being able to see the heyday. Of all of those types of hotels and places to stop. This hotel has literally rekindled that filling. It is the most beautiful hotel. I've ever stayed in Arizona by far. They have tons of outdoor spaces including the heated pool that is open year round. They had cornhole setup and maybe like a pickup ball area and all sorts of outdoor fire pits that were really nice. They had a dog park. They had hammocks outside. The lobby was super cute and had lots of area for seating. They had like a little taco truck that stays there with cute little Christmas lights and seafood. The beds were absolutely soft. Beautiful and comfortable beyond measure. The design inside the rooms was so funky and brand new. They literally left no details out. It was so great. I won't go into telling you exact details. Because I think it should be a surprise but it was really, really, really and over. The top experience with welcome drinks and everything. It was so cool. This doesn't happen very often, but we left there. Feeling like we just went to Christmas or something. It felt really cool. If you are in the area you had better, make sure you make a stop at the Americana. It's really awesome.

This is one of my favorite hotels I've ever stayed in and I will definitely return. No matter how fancy or simple, expensive or cheap, most hotels look mostly the same. That's not true here. Americana Motor Hotel has a wonderful, unique aesthetic that would be worth the stay alone for anyone who likes the '70s or who likes sci-fi. I loved the color palette and setup of the room, the outer space themes, and especially the disco ball. It was cool just lying there and watching the lights spin around the room after a long day on the road. But Americana Motor Hotel is more than just a pretty face. My room had one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in. And the chair next to it didn't just look cool - it was just as, if not more comfortable than the bed. It cradled me perfectly and gave great back support. It was perfect for sipping on a morning coffee and writing my morning pages. This hotel is a very creative space and I would totally do a mini-writing retreat here. But it's also a good place to stop when you're on the road. It's easy to get to and from the interstate and is close to convenience stores, supplies, and some great restaurants. I really enjoyed my gourmet pizza from Fat Olives just a block or so away. But the best part of my stay was my wonderful welcome and excellent customer service from Shauna. She was so great to talk to and went above and beyond to get me in the right room with an available parking place in front and no one above me. She made the whole experience so friendly and welcoming.I will definitely stay here again!

First off - This hotel is ADORABLE and the design for guest entertainment and comfort has been perfected. I came here for work with my friend and her dog and Matthew (front desk attendant) set us up for the LOVELIEST time from the start (more on that, later). There are SO many amenities and comforts like - a fenced in dog park, bocce ball court, fire pit, pool (which, no clue how it is since it was 20 degrees when we were there lol), AMPLE parking, clean rooms, window in the bathroom (I cannot tell you how much this matters, my friend has constant gas), coffee maker in the room, wonderful messages on each wall (ours was "we are all made of stars" AWWWW), and, most importantly (and crucial to the experience) - A DISCO BALL WITH LIGHTS in the corner. HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE FUN (even in the bitter cold) WITH A BUILT IN PARTY BALL IN YOUR ROOM?!?!For me, attention to detail is what I pay attention to when I travel, and this hotel NAILS that. On that note, the front desk attendant I mentioned before (Matthew) checked us in and asked why we were there. My friend told him about her job and he was supportive and lovely, immediately. He told us what to do in the area, and he then walked outside in the hellish cold and lit the fire pits for just us, and walked around the property to see that all was in order for us. He answered all of her annoying questions and he even explained how cold weather can also be fun in the gentlest of ways when she said, "Why is it so cold here?"I kind of don't want to ruin all of the surprises in store for you if you stay here, but just know I have stayed in hotels all over the country for work and this is absolutely my favorite place that I have ever stayed. Customer service very obviously matters here and so do cleanliness/attention to detail. You'd be crazy to stay anywhere else in Flagstaff. We will 10000% be back.Noteworthy details: Comfortable beds, clean space, ADORABLE and extremely unique aesthetic

Spent a couple of nights here between Christmas and New Years of this year.Things started out fine but quickly we ran into issue after issue with no solutions offered. The heating/cooling system in our room cranked either pure hot air or pure cold air on max speed no matter what setting you were on. Turning it off did nothing at all. We asked the front desk to check on it after our first unbearable night of hot/cold alternating all night and the same thing happened the next night. Our room keys needed to be re-activated after every time we left the premises, and upon needing this done the 3rd time in 2 days we were met with a very snarky "Well, I don't know what you people are doing, but this is very unusual for us."We made sure to keep our room keys in separate pockets completely away from any technology or credit cards and were then talked down to as if we were the problem ?.The guests one floor below us were staying up all night playing loud music and then continued playing it and shouting in the parking lot at 5am as they packed up their vehicles. There were no room phones to be able to contact the front desk immediately for anything. They didn't have enough 'Do Not Disturb' signs for the rooms, so we had to verbally ask for no turn down service after the first day, yet we were never told that would put us on a permanent no turn down service for the rest of our stay. So after getting up after our second night and spending the day in the Grand Canyon we were welcomed back to a dirty room with no clean towels. There was also no working WiFi for the duration of our stay. When I walked to the front desk to ask about it they said it was just 'down' with no estimate on it being up again. It's a good location with cute interiors and I understand they recently remodeled, but they still clearly have many kinks to work out, and for the price we paid we were very disappointed in the lack of communication, support, or solutions offered to the multitude of issues we faced.I also attempted to bring up some of these issues in a comment on their Instagram page and they chose to just delete it. So don't trust the reviews you do see. They remove negative mentions about them online.

I spent NYE weekend here and loved the experience! It’s so close to downtown and all the fun spots. The rooms are unique; they were definitely different than anything I’ve seen before. Zach, the GM, was super welcoming and sweet - I really enjoyed all the cool facts he shared. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re visiting Flagstaff :)Rooms: The astronomy-themed rooms are incredible! Great amount of space, clean and modern.Safety: I felt really safe staying here.
