I'm really sorry to be writing this because the ladies at the front desk were wonderful and helpful.... Outside of that though... They are one of the few that take exotic pets, my three year old bearded dragon died tonight, wanna know why? You won't find out for less than $250 up front for them to even look at your pet. I had $130 to my name and offered it all as well as follow up for my Friday payday. As devastation set in, I was told my options are take him home and hope he makes it till morning or euthanasia... I was SOBBING. On top of that they refuse to allow me to hold my pet during the euthanasia process. Luckily he didn't make it to the injection and passed in my arms. No compassion, no sympathy and honestly a money grab. Not EVER EVER taking another family member to die here because they are more interested in money up front.

An great experience over all. Surprisingly affordable options for both emergency care and primary vet care. I would take any future pet's here for all veterinarian needs. The staff were both professional and very helpful considering the situation. I took solace in knowing that my dog's end of life care was so great. They did everything they could to ease my pet's suffering up until the final moments.

Our dog was hit by a police car while my husband and I were away. He was taken to the animal hospital and they told us our deposit was going to be $2,300 before giving us any sort of diagnosis (which we never received). They kept him for 3 days still with no diagnosis saying he had "irregular breathing" and was being given oxygen. We were even charged for radiographs immediately but never given any information as to what they showed. We asked for updates from the vet and called multiple to times to check in on him and didn't get any answers. We've been across the country worrying about our dog this entire time and gotten no reassurance from what is supposed to be the best place in town. When our pet sitter went to go pick him up they said he couldn’t take him until we paid the bill. When the bill was presented we were almost triple charged on everything including the emergency exam that was only conducted one time. There were also several treatments given to him that we never consented too. They said they would call if they were going to administer anything but we never received a call. The discharge nurse we spoke with about our bill was the most helpful person throughout all of this and very apologetic about our experience. It seems like more of the staff need trained to be like her. Overall our experience wasn’t great.

A tremendous thank you to the staff, nurses, techs and doctors at Canyon Pet Hosptial. I could not have asked for better care and service of my pet.I was traveling and called multiple vet offices along i40, all recommend this facility. My pup was ill. You presented me with an urgent care option later that day. Then, called to share of cancellations in afternoon, and we were able to get in sooner. The care was efficient, effective and caring. Costs and treatment were clearly shared and communicated.I sincerely appreciate the time, care and services we received. Thank you!!

I had to travel hours to get to a vet for my dog in the late hours of the night, they were busy with a surgery but were able to see him right after they completed it.They diagnosed him quickly and promptly laid out options for me, I went home the same night with him, and he is doing fine now.Having somewhere open so late is amazing, thank you to all the staff who make it happen.

Our dog has a neurological disorder. The nurse looked at him and charged $85 and said he needs a X-ray. We took him to another vet and said an X-ray would do anything. This is a neurological disorder from brain to back legs. 1 week later he is fully paralyzed from mid back to back legs, can't walk, can't poop other where he is lying. Asked if canton pet hospital can do euthanasia to stop the suffering. Canyon pet hospital require a full physical exam before that can take place. $250 to say "yea he can't walk". This town is all about freaking money. Unacceptable.

I can't say enough about the care this office has provided. When my Luna ate things she should not have, she was seen and provided amazing care even with her quirky personality. When the time came to say goodbye to my Weezie, the compassion they showed was comforting and done with the upmost sensitivity and professionalism. Now with my new addition Cosmo, they have been attentive to getting his needs met during his 1st year of puppyhood. I am so grateful to the staff they have shown over the past several years.Highly recommend this office for the outstanding care.

Absolutely do not recommend this vet, especially for college students with pets. I took my puppy here because it was close and convenient. I brought her in twice while super weak and throwing up, they essentially said nothing was wrong with her and sent her home. I took her in yesterday for the same thing except she was also seizing. After paying hundreds of dollars for the appointment alone, an exam, and her tests, they came back clean and the vet was “certain” she got into marijuana. When I told the vet that wasn’t possible because neither myself or my roommates consume or own marijuana she accused me of lying and proceeded to talk to me like i was a child. “You wont get in trouble for it if you tell the truth, its legal.” “Everyone says they dont have weed in the home then the dogs test comes back positive” she told me she would discontinue the care if i did not pay another $60 for a drug test to prove it was marijuana. They ended up sending my pup home sick with no diagnosis and fluids. I am absolutely furious, i feel that i was racially profiled. I always get treated poorly at this vet and my pup always leaves sick without a diagnosis after spending hundreds of dollars to figure out whats going on with her. I will not take my pup back to this establishment and I recommend that you do the same.

They SUCK! Waited 18 hours to sew up wound, took doggo to better vet when secondary infection set in. Was told this wound should never been sutured in first place. Regardless one grand down the toilet, and my best friend is suffering due to these clowns. Should have listened to internal voice that said run, when what appeared to be a doped up doc came into room.

I brought in my cat Buddy in to the vet today and he is usually pretty nervous at clinics but the entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful and was able to get him to sit calmly while getting his shots. The nurse Sarah was awesome and super patient with him and gave me useful information to keep my cats healthy. I will definitely be less stressed taking him here from now on since I know how great the staff is here!

Took my dog there for an apparent bladder infection and it cost me a great deal of money but they gave me an ineffective antibiotic for his problem. I’ve since gone to another vet who gave much more appropriate treatment for less money. I won’t be going back to that vet or an6 vet in flagstaff. They are the most greedy doctors I have seen in my life.p, and I’ve been using vets for over 50 years for countless animals.

Had to make an emergency trip to the vet last night after our Golden swallowed a popsicle stick. She was well taken care of and came home in less than an hour. We were very pleased with the service and will definitely be going to Canyon Vet in the future.

The entire staff was wonderful when I brought one of my dogs and my mom’s dog in on different days in the same week for urgent care. They explained the issue and treatment in an easy to understand way and were very considerate of our emotional attachment with our pets. I highly recommend Canyon Pet Hospital.
