I was in the Flagstaff, Chase Bank and asked to open an account on Saturday (before 1pm). The teller looked at the clock and said: "We are closing in a 1/2 an hour." You can open an account online. I asked her how I would deposit my money online? She told me to make an appointment to open an account. No thanks! I'l go someplace else.

Avoid this bank if you can! While the tellers are all nice, I cannot understand why this bank cannot cash a check drawn on their own bank. They talk about the account of the Coconino Superior Court as if they need to get permission to cash each and every check. Some story about having to have a "Positive Balance" bull crud. There used to be a time when checks were the only form of paying someone.Well, one more reason to avoid Chase Bank like the plague!

Could not possibly be worse. When the pandemic hit service all but disappeared. Most branches were closed and the only one open, their main bank, had really poor service. To top that off it was clear that they really did not care. It got so bad that we transferred most of our accounts to Bank of America which was not all that impacted by the pandemic. Even today you have to wonder if the office nearest to use will be open and sometimes even when they are they are certainly not interested in servicing their customers. The last time I was there they had three tellers, two of which were completely ignoring the people in line. PROBABLY THE ONLY GOOD THING YOU COULD SAY IS THAT IT IS GOING TO BE REALLY DIFFICULT FOR THEIR SERVICE TO GET WORSE BUT THEY ARE PROBABLY UP TO THE CHALLENGE.

On December 2, 2022, around 4pm. My long, black haired and brown skinned, Native American Son and I, went to west side Chase Bank in Flagstaff, Az.. This visit was for a quick visit to open up a student account under my account. I have bank with chase and will be switching banks after this experience.I explained to the teller because there are no Chase Banks in Page, Az., we either have to go to St. George, Utah or Flagstaff Az to do in person banking, both more than 100 miles away from where we live. I stated I opened a student account for my daughter and want to open up a student account for my Son.There were 3 telllers available, and they stated they could not open a student account for us because they do not have authority. Our teller was of Asian descent. So she, teller, stated we can do a walk in appointment and could wait for a personal banker because she did not have authority to open up an account. So we decided to wait about 15 minutes in the lobby. The teller pointed us at a couple of waiting chairs for us to wait at, so we sat down at the chairs. I told my Son to wait in the bank while I run a quick errand and call me if they call us in. I took about 10 minutes out of the bank and finished my errand in a nearby store. When I came back into the store, the Asian teller had my 15 year old Son’s school identification and temporary paper state ID from June 2022, he had not received the permanent one in the mail yet, several months later too, because of pandemic. The school has not issued a new ID card yet because of the pandemic also, still waiting on it 3 months late. This Asian lady then started telling my Son he needed either a birth certificate or social security card to open up an account, and the temporary Az. Paper identification was not legitimate. Mind you we were waiting for the personal baker and the teller somehow took it upon herself to start opening an account for my son for himself, which I had already explained to her I was opening account for him, under my account. They never asked for my account.I informed the teller, my son’s is not opening a new account but I am the one opening an account for him, under my name and using my money. The Asian teller went her superior, to a blonde haired lady named Penny, and she came to us in front of everyone, smiling and giggling stated she could not open an account for us because my Son’s state ID is temporary, from June and does not have an expiration date.I stated may we have this in writing or may I record what she stated. “Penny” stated we are not allowed to record and walked off and got the attention of her branch manager. Dark haired lady, I forget her name.Branch manager walked right up to us and stated we could not record and more than welcome to visit another branch to open up an account for my Son elsewhere.I stood up from my seat, and the manager took two, 2, steps back from me, because she was talking down to me, in front of all the other customers. They never verified my account nor verified my identity. This chase branch just focused in on my 15 year old Son’s appearance, long dark hair, dark brown skin and his lack of European features and automatically disregarded us as genuine chase customers.I felt like a criminal and was embarrassed in front of my Son by this bank. I apologized to my Son for how we were treated. I felt ashamed and actually saddened and heartbroken for how chase bank treated me, i have never been treated like this before by chase. This is a racist bank. The walk in personal banker is Navajo, just so that this bank can use him as an excuse to say they are not racists, I thought. But, underneath those fake smiles, this is a racist bank and I recommend to any brown skinned person looking to bank, bank with your local credit union.I was embarrassed in front of all the other customers present and I was also put into shame in front my 15 year old Son, by this bank on this day.

Hannah is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!One of the Chases locations in Sedona is an absolute hot mess I had an appointment there and the person wasn't there so I went to this branch and they were so nice and accommodating and professional. I don't know why this branch has low marks. Yes I think Chase in general has bad customer service but this was the absolute best customer service I've ever received from Chase!

Went in to open an account today... The teller said I couldn't meet with a banker for 2+ weeks...I laughed, and left....Kind of makes you wonder why Chase even has a location here? Apparently there aren't any bankers working there...

I had called this branch a total of 8 times in a span of 5 hours with no answer. I finally went in person to open an additional bank account. I was greeted by Jenny which was very rude. I told her I had been calling but no one answered and she said “we have been answering all the calls” then I confirmed that I had the correct phone number which she said. I guess they answered all the calls except the 8 that I called. Very disappointed in the rude comment Jenny gave. Maybe work on better customer service skills.

I have been with Chase Bank for years and in that time I have been to many branches. I have never had as consistently poor service as at this location. The tellers I have interacted with on the phone or in person have been rude, unhelpful, and unapologetic. I have been trying to join another account into this one to effectively give Chase more of my money and they seem to want to make this as impossible as can be. It’s getting to the point it’s crazy and I’m considering withdrawing all my funds and going elsewhere. How could they improve? Set up a way to schedule with a banker without having to receive a “call back” that never comes. The online system to schedule is broken so, give ALL tellers the ability to do this. Give the person answering the phone the ability to do this. Do not write down phone numbers. Make sure tellers are aware they are still in the customer service industry. Im not hard to please but they sure seem to be! No one should feel like an inconvenience to an employee just for wanting to handle their business with their money.

Terrible experience with Chase. I have multiple accounts with them and they wanted to charge me $2 for some counter checks. I’ll be switching banks. What a scam!

Probably the worst Chase Bank in their network. Be prepared to wait a long time to get any assistance. Associates are rude and not willing to help. I strongly encourage those looking for a bank to go elsewhere.
