Great place to work. Great place to get you a rental if available. With college in town sometimes it could be hard to get the truck or trailer you need.

I made a reservation online with Uhaul three weeks prior to my moving date. Two days before my scheduled pick up day they called to tell me they didn't have the truck size I reserved available. They had a much smaller truck available or I could drive 50 miles, each way, to get the size truck I reserved. They were not helpful or apologetic.

Trailer was listed as 6' X 12'. However, you cannot load something over 5' wide using the ramp because of the gate design. I needed this trailer to haul a Side by Side for a hunting trip. Picked up the trailer after dark so was not able to view the gate restriction. Drove the trailer 1 hour south of Flagstaff. The next day when I went to load my Side by Side and realized it would not fit I called the U-Haul Store. The person I spoke to, Ray, was extremely unprofessional. Said I would be charged a daily charge each day because I "used" it. His definition of "use" is driving it off the lot. Said there was nothing he could do about it. Cut me off mid sentence and said, "Listen, Listen, Listen" and was completely disrespectful. He told me unless I returned the trailer (1 hour drive) that afternoon, I would not only be charged for the day but I'd also be charged for another day. So, I had to drop everything, drive an hour north to Flagstaff, and return the trailer immediately. My call to Uhaul was at 3:00pm in the afternoon. In all, I wasted 4 hours (2 x 2 hour round trip drives + Gas) and was still charged close to $50.00. I told Ray that it was his choice. Waive the daily charge and we leave amicably calling it a simple mistake, or charge me the daily fee and I will share my story to as many people as I can on Social Media, Review Sites and in Person. Ray hung up on me. So, here's your review. I hope it was worth the $50 dollars you took from me.

I definitely do not recommend this location if you want a smooth moving transition. I was scheduled to come in living an hour and a half a way and informed them of this but they didn't give me a time slot so I spent 7 hours there. Then they ordered the wrong wiring for my car so I had to set up another appointment. Come to find out they do have time slots to set up. Why wouldn't you do that for someone who lives so far away in the first place? So I show up for my next appointment (drive an hour and a half to get there) and they tell me oh the wiring hasn't arrived yet. (Do you guys not know how to use a phone?) by this time I'm moving in less than a week so I set up another appointment. I called them before I was going to leave and they didn't have the wiring again and didn't bother to call. So unorganized and just absolutely no care for the customers. The people there at face value were very nice and tried to be helpful but I absolutely would never rely on them again. They were young and didn't know fully about the service they're providing. I ended up going to another uhaul in Holbrook Arizona the guy was super knowledgeable and could direct me exactly where to go. I cancelled my order with uhaul flagstaff and am going else where. Because of all of this I won't have my wiring installed until the day before I need to move. While wiring being late in the mail is not their fault the total lack of communication is. I don't write reviews pretty much ever but wow, this was terrible service.

At both pickup and dropoff, even though busy at times, staff were quick to meet my needs and did so in a more than satisfactory manner. I've had a bad experience or two at other U-Haul locations, and this experience was quite the opposite.

The team at this location exceeded our expectations! From the start of our phone call with Savannah, she was extremely helpful and flexible in providing support to us. In addition, Marcus and Jazmine and the entire crew were also very helpful in their support! We appreciate the help and making this weekend trip a success.

I had rented a trailer from this location to move my daughter back to California. I had recently had a hitch installed on my SUV. There was a problem with the wiring and the lights were not working. Luckily, Marcus was working that day and spent almost an hour fixing the wiring and putting my vehicle back together. Without his help, I would have been stuck for a couple of days. Thank you again for your help!!!

do yourself a favor...GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO RENT OTHER THAN THIS U-HAUL STORE! To this day, U-haul is a household word. However, my experience with this company and in particular THIS franchise has been HORRIFIC!!! Our goal was simple...to rent a car transport trailer. When we arrived at U-Haul, the parking lot was full. A full business typically indicates a "good" business or in this case a "monopoly". I pulled my vehicle to the side of the lot to change drivers while I began the rental process. As I opened my car door I was literally verbally assaulted by a female U-Haul employee screaming at the top of her lungs to "not park" where we were. I attempted what in normal culture would have been a quick conversation between 2 humans (CUSTOMER and business owner) explaining that we were switching drivers. BUT...Her aggressive deluge continued unabated...hardly taking a breath and not giving me 3 seconds to explain. She screeched and said I should park in the lot...to which I wholeheartedly agreed!!! I drove the 15 feet back to the lot looking for an open spot...of which there were STILL none. I returned to the area where I was simply going to park for 7-10 seconds to switch drivers and not block incoming traffic and the ASSAULT BEGAN ONCE AGAIN!!! It was at this point I told her that I didn't come to her business to fight, I came to rent a trailer. She continued to VERBALLY ASSAULT us at which point we decided that regardless of what happened next...THIS WOULD BE THE LAST PLACE WE WOULD EVER DO BUSINESS. Even if it meant more money and more time spent on our part. U-Haul may have enough business to yell at customers and this woman apparently has a reputation for completely awful behavior towards others that supports that theory. My suggestion would be for this woman to do 2 things: 1) Seek help for her anger issues, 2) GET OUT of business where she deals with the public...clearly she hates what she's doing and just as clearly she doesn't like people or dealing with them. Mostly it's just sad how unhappy she is. I wish her the best in her future...but I for one will take my business ANYWHERE ELSE other than here.

*UPDATE: I am still on hold (41 minutes) to try and get a refund. I would like to thank U-Haul of Flagstaff for giving me plenty of time to post this review on every site I can find. Best use of hold time ever. I am very disappointed and if I hear one more recorded blurb from them about "keeping promises" I may throw the phone. I scheduled an appointment online to get a hitch installed for Wednesday at 1PM. My wife drove the hour and fifteen minutes and got there on time. She left the vehicle and was promised it was a 30 minute job. At 2PM she got a call that the hitch hadn't come in and they didn't know when it would come. Too bad, so sad. Maybe this week. Maybe not. My biggest problem is not that this completely screwed up all of our plans for a 3 day trip to get some items from the area, but more that there was a shift of blame to the whoever shipped them the hitch and no accountability taken or apology given. Zero effort to make anything right. But wait, there's more: I was then PROMISED a call "BY 4PM" with an update. I am writing this at 4:39. No call. No one answering. Now I am in AZ with NO PLAN and out potentially hundreds or more in securing a new storage facility and coming back to do this trip again. Let alone I can't get anyone to answer to begin the 3 to 5 day refund process. Garbage waste of time and money. Don't be fooled by their "Promises" guarantee. If you are on a timeline you are better off counting on anyone else. This location does NOT care.

I rented a 10 foot box truck for my work. We were putting things away in the truck before we left a job. When we went into the building to get the last thing, somebody ran behind our backs and stole the vehicle. Long story short and after losing over $1000 in cash and equipment, the vehicle was found abandoned behind the Walmart building. Our tracking of a phone in the truck led to finding the vehicle. UHAUL claims we were at fault because we left the keys in the vehicle. They charged me $353 for the towing and rekeying of the truck. I don't know what company attempts to punish their customers after they have clearly been mistreated and subject to a crime. On top of things, we were right by the vehicle when it was car jacked. Upon explaining my problem to Caleb, the assistant manager, the stance of their decision and lack of compassion was apparent. I've always used Uhaul for my moving and replacement service of my truck needs for my business. I will use Ryder or any possible other company from now on. The $353 will dwarf the thousands I would have spent over the rest of my life and the life of my businesses.

We were supposed to have a reservation to pick up a truck to do a job at 5am and the representatives said that they messed up on their end and that we had to wait until 7 am to get everything sorted out. The lady opened a few minutes early for us, and she had an attitude with us from the start and just was extremely disrespectful to us the entire time. By far this is the worst customer service encounter I have ever experienced and it was very unprofessional.

TERRIBLE customer service!!!! My husband went in to get our propane tanks filled...he waited 35 minutes for someone to come fill them (it's fine, they were busy) when the woman came out she started the conversation with questions like, " Why did you have to come on our busiest day to get you tanks refilled?!?" And "We are open from 7-7, why is this the time you chose to come??" When my husband informed her that this was the last time we would be coming here for anything she responded with, "So I don't need to refill your tanks??" If I could leave a zero star I would!!! One less customer to make you busy!!

We rented for 4 Various sizes of U-Haul trucks to take Covid relief aid to the Hopi reservation. Upon returning the trucks to this Flagstaff location on Huntington Drive at 6:58 pm and the customer service crew who is still inside the store denied us assistance in returning their vehicles. They informed us that we were too late and that it was up to us and how we were going to handle this process. That is the worst customer service experience I have ever had to deal with especially why we supported the U-Haul business in bringing a relief to recognize native American tribe. Highly uncalled for and highly unprofessional and for the record U-Haul will most likely bill us additional charges.
