10/5/24 update - found out the issue is with my new checking account and not with the gas station. Actually find gas stations in my area are holding between $150-$175 for a day or more. Not sure how that is legal. Changing from 1 star to 4. It actually was a decent place and cheaper than the surrounding gas in the area the day I was there visiting.
The gas was $3.68/gal not bad, but they secured $100 out of my account for a $28.32 bill. Not happy about this at all!! Calling for manager today after 11am.
4-15-24 at 8:50am the $100 pending charge is still not gone! 😡 And the real charge hard posted so $128.32 now wrapped up for a $28.32 charge!! Talked to both the station manager and Discover yesterday!! 😡😡😡
2:34pm and it’s still there! 2 days after I gassed up here! What the hell man!? Why isn’t anyone doing something about this!!?? Pisses me off need to get ahold of a news station or something!!?? Never coming here again!!!! 😡 😡 😡.. withholding my true words for sake of being PG.
4-16-24 finally got things back to normal 3 days after the fact. From now on no longer paying at the pump this was insane! What if my account overdrew?? Good thing I had the money. This is the only account I have can’t have credit cards anymore ex forced me into bankruptcy.

Maverik is great overall! When traveling we always stop there if we can. They’re not available at home or we would always use Maverik.
The store is smaller, only 2 single stall bathrooms. The fuel stations are not set up for pulling a trailer like all the other locations so pick a different one in Flagstaff if you’re pulling a trailer and it’s busy.

This evening I went into the store to buy a few Powerades and Vitmain water. During checkout I was rung up for a $175 pre authorization for fuel. I asked the cashier what that was and explained to her that I was not buying fuel. She then charged my debit card for my drinks as well as the $175 fuel authorization instead of removing it. When I again told her I wasn’t pumping gas or there to buy any fuel she literally told me the charge would disappear and not to worry about it. I called my bank right away and found out that the $175 fuel charge was deducted from my bank already and wasn’t going to fall off. I went back in and spoke to a manager, she told me there was nothing she could do and pretty much blew me off. They made a mistake and they stole $175 from me and refused to refund my card. I am filing with the BBB and in addition, filing a fraud charge on them. I will never go there again. Beware, they are thieves.

Saved me 20c a gallon last weekend over the rest of the cheap stations in town.Pumps were quick and easy to use.The windshield brushes were new.I got back on the road a happy camper!

Rig is diesel. Usually I get pumps that are so slow. This station pumped like gas pump! They didn't charge me that surcharge. AND, the fuel price was cheapest around. So, yeah I am very happy!

Best gas station along Route 66 in this area, easy in and out. It's always clean and has everything I need.
