Disorganized. Staff was not very helpful. Fat chick sitting on the floor wouldn’t even get up to show me where certain items were (clay) she just did her best to explain it at about a sixth grade level with vague directions. But eventually, we were able to figure out what the heck she was talking about. Three stars because they had decent sale items and a good selection. They had a lot of things in stock, which was nice because not all Michael’s. Keep a good selection.

This Michael's frequently has clearance bins with great deals at up to 90% off regular price. The items however are usually tossed into bins so "lots" doesn't necessarily mean "more" in this case. I notice that their "Available in-store" feature threw the app is not current with the store especially when it lists sales items... you can go for them but your paying full ticket price so checking through the app for deals is pointless as far as this location goes.

I just love this store! I’m a jewelry maker and can count on a well stocked jewelry making section including sterling and copper findings and nature stone beads.

The staff are always helpful and the new self-checkout screens can be useful, when in a rush. Though, I could see how some people could get frustrated with the new technology.
It would be great to see better integration between the website and each store. It's difficult to find what aisle an item is in on the website; had to have a staff member point out the small text when I checked out.

A return/transfer I made went quite smoothly, and the staff was pleasant to talk to. When about to purchase frames that were slightly more expensive than the ones I ordered online, one of the staff checked the back to find the same frames I had gotten online with the dimensions I wanted. Excellent customer service!

The forced self checkouts were a bad idea. So first I go up, and find out I can't use cash, and that's why I was coming in anyway, I made some extra cash. But I give up on that and go to run my debit as credit, but IT CANT DO THAT EITHER. So I click the help button and wait 10 minutes before I just give up and leave. If I have to use my credit card anyways i can just order online, from amazon or joanns who both had the product for 25% less. I just had wanted to use cash. I'm so sad cause for years this is where i spend my time and money when I want to do an art project. I think I will put it as a last resort now especially since there is a joanns and a hobby lobby in town.

Michaels is always stocked well. I also enjoy the 10% senior discount and the reward system.
The employees are always friendly and helpful.

After collecting select pieces of art on my recent trip to Greece, I was excited to have the four pieces either stretched over canvas or framed. I traveled from the Verde Valley to Michaels in Flagstaff. What a huge mistake and disappointment that was. Three of the four pieces of art were 'thrown away' accidentally I was told. I received the call a few days before the Christmas holiday which, to say the least, was shocking.
I was told this had never happened and that they would work with me to resolve the matter. That was in December. It is now April and I have only been compensated for 1 piece of art. The framing charges applied to a Michaels credit card dragged on for 3 months before I was compensated, resulting in a ding on my credit for being 30 days past due. Needless to say, this is a warning to think very, very carefully before taking your art to Michael's in Flagstaff. This has been a disheartening experience, and a half-hearted attempt to resolve the matter on Michael's part.
