I like the enthusiasm of the trainers and the mix of cardio and weight training!

The coaches were great. However, I signed up for six months and when that term ended they wanted me to come in to cancel (BTW you never have to enter a gym to cancel, but beware when they send the cancel docs). I was told on the phone that after the six months was over I did not have give the 30 days notice. I got charged and the manager has not returned my calls. The coaches are great, the business practices are rude and frustrating, which makes it not worth it.

As a first timer, I was really satisfied with the workout and felt really great after getting done. The pace, structure, and the thorough explanations of the workout and the science behind it were super helpful. I am all for athletic coaches/trainers being tough and giving constructive feedback especially when it comes to form, I welcome it. However, Ricky was rude and that wasn’t super awesome. After getting onto the treadmill, I chose to be in power walk and initially had my incline set to 3%. He told me to bring it down to 2% and I asked “Can’t I be on three?” he then, responded “Just do whatever you want.” in the most backhanded, “over it” manner (while rolling his eyes) you could imagine. This was a genuine question and not my attempt in defying his advice. Maybe he was having a bad day, maybe he just misunderstood my tone. Either way, probably wouldn’t spend an exuberant amount of money to be sassed at over a simple question.

This place is potentially extremely dangerous. The instructor wouldn’t let me modify any of the workout unless I asked him first and would then choose what I could modify it to. I have multiple injuries and his “modifications” were not good for my injuries. When I changed supermans to crunches he kicked me out of his class. This is insane and also a great way to injure someone. Easy way to be involved in a law suit. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

Maddie the manager is very unprofessional and not constructive to feedback. I got a friend to sign up for OT Flagstaff and the rest of the staff said I would be getting certain promo deals for the referral. After multiple unanswered phone calls about these supposed promo deals I was supposed to get, I finally got the chance to speak with Maddie, but in person. Maddie said the complete opposite of what every staff member told me and said that I'm not eligible for any promos because my home studio is in phx and not with the flagstaff location. She was extremely rude, unwilling to help/makeup for it in any way, and unwilling to apologize for her lack of communication to her staff members. When you're the manager you take accountability for not training your staff correctly on who is eligible for these promo deals. Every other staff member said I would be getting the promo and if that wasn't communicated to me in the first place I wouldn't have the expectation of getting something and left feeling upset. This studio is great and I'll keep coming back for all the coaches, other staff members, and classes! The one star comes down to poor management. Communicate to your staff more effectively and be respectful to your customers.

Ricky is the most obnoxious, disrespectful, passive aggressive trainer you can have. This guys is completely narcissistic and unprofessional. I wouldn't have Orange Theory pay me to have Ricky train me. The manager is also a horrible supervisor and is unable to provide her staff with direction that might actually help the Flagstaff location. I'd highly recommend going to a CrossFit gym or some other HIIT location if you live in Flagstaff. Why pay good money to be treated like shit.

Love this studio. Ricky and team are outstanding coaches and give me constructive pointers on how to improve my technique on the weight floor.

I'm really happy with my membership! The front desk is friendly and the trainers are knowledgeable, friendly and motivating. They have a good selection of classes throughout the day and I feel like the equipment is easy to use.I never thought I would spend as much as I do for a gym membership but I'm going to lose some lbs and everything I'm looking for is being provided.Highly recommend!

The Flagstaff Orange Theory has amazing knowledgeable coaches as well as a friendly staff. If you need motivation to help you stick to a fitness regimen, then this is the place to be.

I had left a review previously but deleted that google email address which resulted in losing all of my reviews! Revisiting this situation has not been a priority, however, I want to use my voice and defend myself. Especially since it’s been brought to my attention that a smear campaign has been underway. The bottom line is that there are a few nasty bullies who work here. Unprofessional. Insecure. Rude. Exceptionally Immature. The only reason to join OTF is for the community. Unless it’s a hostile and unwelcoming environment, which it was. The strength training and cardio machines are the basics of a home gym and a membership contract is suffocating considering there are so many options for fitness diversity. I have spent the last 17 years traveling the world - climbing the 7 summits - swimming with orcas in Norway being my most recent adventure and I can promise you, 100%, that one hour of training is absolutely not enough physical conditioning for optimal performance. Since my horrible experience with the OTF bullies and because of it, I’ve discovered a more efficient, affordable and far more exciting way to work out. Utilizing the advancements of technology (which are human driven/operated/profited, needless to say), I can do my primary/ foundational workout at home and supplement with drop-in classes at various fitness centers (all while supporting the local community which was my intention to begin with). This is a fantastic way to train, keep it fresh & fun, meet many new people, available worldwide, and most importantly, avoid hostile atmospheres with disgusting bullies as well as monthly contractual obligation. Too bad this OTF location has bullies! If you’re considering joining, beware and proceed with caution. Most unfortunately, the Golden Rule does not apply here. It doesn’t matter how kind, loving, caring, happy or generous you are. I have learned so much from the OTF bullies and it has certainly changed how I understand the local culture. However, every single resident in my neighborhood is part-time. Undoubtedly, that’s the best way to experience the area, especially for avid travelers. If you want to take a drop-in class here at this location, beware of the OTF bullies. Lastly, I really, really, and I mean really don’t like leaving 1 star reviews. They’ve earned it.

I’m a firm believer that feedback is a gift and I want to be sure I highlight the positive before any constructive feedback is given.I recently transferred from another gym, but attended OTF in Scottsdale for 5 years when they first opened. The Flagstaff OTF workout is amazing, the trainers I’ve had both Ricky and Torrey are not only professional, but highly skilled. They are always trying to make my experience better and give feedback on form and modifications on some exercises. I absolutely love the music and all trainers check in on the noise level to make sure we are all comfortable in class. You have the best trainers in town.In regards to constructive feedback - the only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because your studio manager does not have a positive attitude and can be somewhat off putting at times. We agreed to disagree on a late charge for a class I incorrectly booked. I would think a one-time waiver would be acceptable, but she wouldn’t consider. In my opinion, a 12 late fee is something negotiable for a first time request. It’s not the money, but the principle. As a new member to your facility, I would hope that you would allow a grace period or introduction to the facility. The other front desk girls (all of them) have been very helpful and great to work with.I understand sometimes employees get burned out with their jobs and maybe need to find something they have a passion for. As an owner of a small business, I understand that one employee can negativity impact the rest of the staff.I hope my review was balanced and if you’d like to discuss, I’d be happy to have open dialogue.

I am a 60-something in so-so shape, and have been coming here for a couple of months now after a friend convinced me to join her. The staff and coaches could not be more kind, helpful and encouraging. I'm half deaf in one ear, have a bum knee and feel my age, but I do LOVE a challenge, and that is what I get here! Some days I feel like I am flopping around like a dead fish, but everyone is so supportive and I always feel amazing after the class - I feel ALIVE! ABSOLUTELY LOVE OT and this group of people in Flagstaff who make it all happen - I actually drive 40 miles (one way) once a week to get there. If you are reading this review, and considering giving it a try please do so! Your health and the positive benefits are worth every penny. Take it from an oldster! :)
