My daughter and I came here because Michael’s didn’t have what we needed. The owner was very nice and took the time to explain the different types of product she carried. She was very helpful and answered all our questions. We found what we needed and more. Prices are comparable to Michael’s. This is our new favorite art store in town.

Ruth Ann very helpful. I have been there over a ten year period and have found everything I needed and more. Absolutely loaded with all art supplies papers and paints. Lovely to deal with.

There's nothing like a good independent art store!
I stopped in for some supplies on a plein air painting roadtrip, and was so impressed with the quality and variety of materials! It's a really well curated store - the owner, Ruth-Ann is very knowledgable and passionate about art, materials, pigment etc - clearly an artist herself.
Not only did I find what I was looking for (and more!), but when I left the store I discovered my rental car had a flat tire in the parking lot and the owner and several of her regular customers helped me try to repair, and eventually get towed. She even gave me her contact info, in case I ended up stranded in flagstaff overnight and needed help.
I was just passing through, but I got a wonderful glimpse into the community and goodwill that makes Visible Difference a rare and special place.

I’m leaving 1 star because the older lady who was running the shop was so rude and belittling to me and the other customer in the shop. If you want people to spend money at your small business how about you learn some customer service

A great locally owned business! Went in here just to see their selection and the owner was very nice and patient with me helping with recommendations and great advice from a fellow artist. Loved chatting with her. A good selection through different traditional mediums and little paper stations to test out colors and graphite!

High quality art supplies and a knowledgeable proprietor to help you find exactly what you need - I can't say how glad I am that they are still here despite mounting competition from online stores. You simply can't get this kind of information and assistance online.

Great local art shop. I shop here often for my personal fine art supplies, as well as for our cafe business needs (chalk markers, sticky tape, etc). The owner is always super helpful, and very knowledgeable. A true gem of a store in Flagstaff.
