Really nice visitor center in a historic building with a lovely gift shop. Shop has selections from local artists. The visitor center was clean and had lots of maps and brochures for all the local and state wide sites. Friendly helpful staff. It's a worthwhile stop if you're visiting the area.

The visitor center is within the McFarland State Park- located in a wooden building with a porch outside. Cute rocking chairs adorn the porch. From the center, you can either pay the $5 to explore the McFarland Park which are the 3 nearby rooms in the building. Or, you can see the front area which has so many amazing free brochures and magazines about Arizona. There's also a gift shop in the back with decorations, tasty sauces, jewelry, and more. The dog and the two employees working there made me feel at home!

That was a fun place to visit. Love the gift shop. There's some awesome information about World War II POW camps in the Florence area in the museum portion of the visitor center.
