About Apache Culture Center
Apache Culture Center offers a captivating glimpse into the history and lifestyle of the White Mountain Apache people. Visitors can explore amazing cultural artifacts, including a life-size wikiup, basket weaving, and beadwork, which beautifully illustrate life before colonization. The center features photographs documenting the history of Fort Apache and the changes experienced by the Ndee people. Guests can take guided tours of the surrounding area, which includes significant sites like a school, stables, and barracks from the late 19th century. With over twenty preserved buildings, the park tells the stories of both the Apache and soldiers who shared this land. The museum and café add to the experience, while the gift shop is a must-visit. The Apache Culture Center not only honors the past but also connects visitors to the living culture of the Apache tribe, making it a valuable destination for anyone interested in history.

This is a very popular place to visit. The culture center was very enlightening, to what the Apache Indians believed in and how they worked. It seemed to us they had a good way of life before white man showed up.
