Mail and packages are always lost and they don’t do anything to help you relocate them

USPS locations don’t always have the best reputation, but I had an experience at the Fountain Hills Post Office that genuinely deserves five stars. I recently lost a package, and the manager, Chris, went above and beyond to help me track it down.
Not only did he check every package in the back and review the delivery history, but he also personally met me in my community to check the cluster mailbox—in pouring rain and heavy winds! He was professional, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring my package wasn’t misplaced.
Thanks to his hard work, he found my package and got it to me the next day. This level of customer service is rare, and Chris deserves recognition for his commitment. If more USPS locations had employees like him, the experience would be completely different. Huge thanks to Chris and the team at this location!

Awful service, I’m wondering if they are getting supervised.
Because of them not doing their job it has cost me lots of money and anguish.

8 items sitting in the post office wait for me to go and gather them, in place of them being delivered to me, as i paid for. why? it says online “Customer has requested the shipment to be held for collection. Please collect your package once available for pick-up.” i made no such request.

Zero would be better. Have tried calling them for 45 minutes. Rings and rings and then it disconnects. Plus, they have closed a case that wasn't resolved.

Package was sent to the main office “at postal facility per client request” same day it was supposed to be delivered to me (per USPS online updates) Now I have to drive from Scottsdale to Fountain Hills with my disabled son to pick up a package that they never attempted delivery in the first place. Time to look for options.

Based on a review posted last week and my own experience, this post office has decided to stop delivering packages because the carriers are too lazy to get out of their vehicle to walk boxes and bulky packages to the front door. He marked my mailbox as “full” for the sole reason that I received a package that was too large to fit in the mailbox —- even if it were to be completely empty of all other mail. Or, if you receive multiple packages or bulky items in a day, one may fit, and then the box is marked “full” so you’re SOL. I checked my mail on Thursday 09/19 and again on Tuesday 09/24 … and my box was NOT full, however it would not have fit another bulky package or large box. They stopped delivering my mail on 09/23 without putting any notification of such in the mailbox nor even attempting to knock on my door to deliver the packages that did not fit (I have a ring camera and I was home on the day in question). I had no idea they had stopped delivering mail and the only reason I went to the post office is because I was missing a box that I was expecting and tracked down. When I got to the post office on 09/26 I had a bin of packages (see pic) as well as random other mail that I had zero notice had not been delivered nor that they were not going to deliver unless I went to the post office. All of this mail would have been returned to sender without my knowledge if I had not been searching for a missing package.
I waited ten minutes to speak to the manager and he was so ineffectual at customer service that I have no idea if he even notated my address to investigate the carrier in question, much less is going to ensure that my mail is delivered in future. This is especially concerning since it appears Amazon has started using USPS for more packages in fountain hills. If packages and bulky items aren’t left at the front door, a mailbox is going to be marked “full” almost every other day. I had a similar issue last month that I evidently wrongly blamed on the retailer — I had to take time off work to retrieve a package USPS held as requiring a signature even though it was just a standard package. Now I know it wasn’t a mistake by the retailer, but a foretelling of the issue of the carrier simply not wanting to get out of his vehicle to walk a box to the door.
I hope someone at USPS with a higher pay grade than the manager in question is monitoring these reviews so that appropriate action is taken.

This post office serves our community so well. They are kind and professional. Donna was especially helpful in assisting us with some out of town postal needs. I know her supervisor followed through with our request as well. Thank you so very much!!!! It is appreciated! Blessings!

Me and my neighbors have to meet up to give each other the correct mail due to the delivery driver putting them in the wrong spot. I'm fed up I'm going to get a mailbox at the u.P s store.

THey regard customers as an INCONVIENENCE and NEVER answer the phone. I can't believe that the people who work here are paid MORE than the folks at UPS & FEDEX when their service is so bad. It is unbelievable that we tax payers subsidize this pathetic organization.

I hope these are read. I tried to call but couldn't get through.
I was extremely rude to supervisor Jared (unsure of spelling) today and deeply apologize. He was perfectly helpful and handled my uncalled for rage like a champ. I'm very sorry Jared, you're doing great and I hope you get some recognition for it.
