Tried calling but you can only get their offshore call center (who tried telling me they were local). I asked: do you repair PC monitors? Yes. Is the person in store to inspect and quote a repair? Yes. So I uninstalled it from a complicated mount and came in.
They were 15 min late for the appointment I set. Turns out they don’t repair monitors, and they don’t offer anything at all if it’s not a Best Buy SKU. Waste of time. Asked to speak with a manager but he was on lunch.

The people are nice, but what a pain to do anything through Best Buy. I was directed to a call center, they couldn’t understand I just needed a new battery & install for my phone. They tried to sell me something I didn’t want. I had to set an appointment to be seen, and I was on time, but it was more important for the geek squad people to attend walk-in customers, then the folks with appointments and waited 30 mins past my appointment. I just won’t go back, though I used to enjoy going to Best Buy.

Dakota Murphy is unprofessional and an excellent explain of how entitled someone feels to bash another business. I will never use geek squad and wouldn’t trust someone like Dakota.

Went in person and was still given a vague cost. Their response to me not appreciating the vague lack of effort quote was to imply I couldn't afford the service. I'll go pay more elsewhere.You can not get through to schedule an appointment with Geek Squad. Keep being sent to different departments and repeatedly ask why I'm calling. I was hung up on twice, while "being transferred to the right department." Spoke to six different people on three different calls, and no appointments were scheduled.

i showed up expecting a decent priced repair by professionals. i ended up waiting for 40 minutes (short staff due to retention issue from bad management most likely, quit making tech nerds into salesmen) and getting a sales pitch about their “membership”. i take good care of my stuff and dont really need a 200 best buy membership to fix my stuff, however with a software issue i do expect a decent repair job. nope, some kid comes up and starts adding up the repair job which totals to 400 dollars, when like i said is a software issue and most likely needs to be reset which is above my knowledge, it really shouldn’t cost that much. he then gives me a 7-10 day turn around. i then proceeded to thank him for his time but im going to look elsewhere, he starts trying to sell the membership again and after i told him im not interested he said “pft whatever man”. absolutely unprofessional and uncalled for. i was going to buy more items that i needed for my new phone but after this, best buy ain’t the place. go somewhere local.

Last night experience at BestBuy store in Gilbert on williams field road was nothing but uncalled for, their Store Manager Rod is an extremely rude and racist person. He caused me so much embarrassment in front of people on a simple question that could have been politely answered. I purchased a $3000 TV from their store and asked if they can give me a free wall mount installation service they normally charge $200 for. He rudely and loudly in a derogatory tone said and repeated it several times “ He does not give free stuff to people for nothing” his tone was so disrespectful I got embarrassed. He could have politely said this was not possible or there was no special offers available at the time etc. His rude attitude almost made me leave the store without the purchase but I didn’t wanted to punish the sales guy who was courteous and so nice to help us pick the TV. So I decided to complete my purchase but I wanted to made sure this store manager was disciplined for his attitude. I am also calling the corporate office to make sure this issue is escalated to SLT. This type of behavior can not be tolerated at any business.
