I met Mark in 2022 after my friend noticed my car had been having issues for months & wondered why I hadn’t taken care of it. I let her know I couldn’t afford to fix it. She introduced me to Gills & told me that he was the “most honest mechanic in the west.” I saw him and he took care of my car issue & stayed within my budget. He was SO kind to me and treated me like I mattered (not just my money). Fast forward 2024, similar issue with my vehicle & when I realized Mark wasn’t there (still owner but had a manager) my heart dropped because I was in a worse pickle than in 2022. However, Bryce explained everything super well and worked hard to make sure I was taken care of. I will never go to another mechanic for work! It’s hard to find honest and ethical mechanics. 10/10 recommend this shop! Don’t waste your time and money going anywhere else! You’ll be grateful you found them and you won’t ever want to go anywhere else!

Gills is one of the best auto service places I've ever dealt with. They don't treat me like "a simple little lady". I'm treated with respect and so are my vehicles. If there is something they don't do, like new tires, sun roof repair, after market audio repair, then they will recommend a place that they trust that does take care of those things.

Sadly, I had to give one star in order to get the review. My experience with this company has been horrible, frustrating, one of the most expensive screw jobs I’ve ever had. We own a small HVAC company and were referred to the shop for some minor repairs we needed on two of our trucks, the first one goes in 2012 Ford F150 needing an oil pan gasket and a water pump. While the truck is being serviced, I get a phone call saying that hey we need to do more work, $4000 later I get my truck back and Within a week they overheating is still happening. Second is a 2015 GMC Sierra Denali with a 6.2 engine take it in to have plugs plug wires, coil packs, and new injectors put in immediately called saying these engines are junk, I’ve looked it up on Google and everyone has problems with them. Apparently, they did not want to use the parts I supplied which I can’t cannot say how good or bad these parts were. They were ordered from eBay to say when truck goes in. It only had a misfire. They complete the work after they ordered their own fuel injectors And immediately on invoice they write up there’s a weird squeaking noise. They check the belts could find no problem. I picked the truck up $3700. I drive it less than a mile and the noise was so bad that it sounded like the engine was falling apart Took back where they all were like yeah that’s just that engine. You know there’s a problem with those engines anyway they work on it a little while. Call me back two days later I think it’s done pick the truck up. Miss comes back and now the engine has a loud ticking noise, so take the truck back. They look at it and write up that there was a broken bolt on the exhaust. That’s what the noise was from and immediately wrote up. They don’t recommend driving the truck. They note the mileage on the invoice knowing that this is my personal truck and the noise is still present. They blamed on the exhaust leak so I took it to another shop to see if they could repair the exhaust leak since obviously gills Automotive couldn’t 24 hours later, I get the inspection report from the new shop. There is no broken bolt. They send pictures of all the exhaust bolts, but they did find That the injectors were missing O-rings and seals and that is the source of the noise so I spend another $1100 and get my truck back. Guess what there is no noise whatsoever but the cylinder was burning so hot it caused damage to the catalytic converter because Automotive had the truck back three separate times after they made the initial repair and couldn’t figure it out, I had to put out more money to fix the initial problem that gills were supposed to take care of now you would expect them to at least make it right or take care of the bill at the separate shop but instead they wanna argue saying that you should’ve brought the truck back it’s under warranty You brought it back three times we charge you a fee lied to you and told you you had a broken bowl. That was the noise because we couldn’t figure out what the problem was now trying to get an issue resolved all they wanna do is argue or push it off or say They should’ve told you it was under warranty. My question is why would I bring my truck back for a fourth time for you to tell me it was something else and how shitty the motors are now this is going to have to be escalated because they do not want to honor any repair they made nor do they want to pay, any reimbursement for the cost I had to after to get the original issue fixed

Quote for A/C was $500 higher than others quotes that were $500 instead of $1000 and they charged $150 just for the diagnostic when the other places did it for free. Disappointed!

I love this place. Everyone is so nice and HONEST!!! I made the mistake of going somewhere else for an oil change and they gave me a list of things to do. Out of 6 things I really only needed ONE. I will now bring my car here even if it's only for an oil change! I'm a senior female and I drive a BMW X3. Excellent service and saved me hundreds.

Thank you Mark and Casey for the personal care. They got me in at my scheduled time for a brake job and rear differential fluid change. Also found and fixed my bad battery connection.. Also found a bolt missing from my exhaust manifold and replaced it. A big thank you to Mark for taking the time to explain things. Our next project is to inspect other items on my 1998 Tacoma. Hopefully they can be my go to shop in the future for all my cars .
