Shelly is amazing! She cares so much for all the dogs in her rescue. If she could save all the homeless and neglected Rottweiler’s she definitely would. The adoption fees are reasonable, especially when you consider the cost put into each dog’s medical care, training and housing expenses. She makes no money off of these dogs and has put her heart and soul into saving and rehabilitating as many as she can.

This is an amazing charity that saves the often misunderstood Rottweiler. Shelly is devoted to saving and finding forever home for these beautiful animals. If you want a Rottweiler, do not hesitate to fill out the application and adopt a dog from Rotten Rottie Rescue

This group is blatantly ageist. Nobody over 60 should adopt one of their dogs?? Really?? My sister is 65 and a CrossFit athlete and a marathon runner. She has dogs and is stronger than most 20 year olds. But she's not good enough for this group. The ageism is right on their web page, loud and proud. I don't know how they get away with it! I guess no one has sued them yet. In addition they demand people have grass yards. Hey, this is Arizona! It's the desert!! So people with responsible landscaping are not allowed to adopt either. This group is an absolute joke and they straight up drive people to go to breeders. Rescues like this are why breeders are in business! People try to do the right thing by adopting a rescue but this group turns good people away. They really make me sick. Shelley is a very rude person as well. If she rejects you and you try to plead your case, she gets verbally abusive. They scam people with their application fees! I wish I had read these reviews before I donated my hard earned $ just to deal with her abuse. She is not a good person! I'm sure she'll attack me again on this review, like she does everyone who leaves a much deserved negative review. Yeah I knew you'd post an abusive reply, Shelly. I'm not "high class" or "rich" and if you had read my application you'd see I live alone. No "high class family" here. You are absolutely ridiculous and I hope your scam gets shut down.

Pretty sure this application process is a scam to get donations. We saw a puppy last Thursday and had to pay $20 for the application. We had to give ages, financials and vet info, which we did. We lost our family dog last September and it took us awhile but finally decided to share the love with another pup. We got a text this weekend stating the Shelly's client how had already adopted 3 dogs with her, was given the puppy. I was wondering if she had decided on an existing client, why was the puppy listed for applications? So I went back to her site and found the puppy still listed and accepting applications. Checked again today and the puppy is still listed. How many people are being taken for that $20 with no chance of getting that puppy?

YOUR SPECIALTIES PARAGRAPH IS AN ALL OUT L I E!!! you also said in your review that you refuse to help people that wont go to the ends of the earth for their dogs protection!! my sister brought you her dog to protect her from the streets and you refused her without ever opening your door!!! hypocrites!!! in a crisis you refused a rottweiler & treated their owner like garbage. and to think i was going to send a go-fund-me slew of donations your way. we'll find a more compassionate company. these people are outrageous. heartless & inconceivably rude!

Amazing rescue!! Shelly Froehlich is 1000% dedicated to these Rottweilers, their well-being/care, and ensures each of them is adopted by the right family. We got our girl, Molly from this rescue. Shelly did a thorough application, with in-depth questions, a meet and greet, and home/yard inspection. She has also followed up to ensure Molly is doing well, is safe and healthy. Definitely worth supporting this rescue!!

Very rude, adopted from the shelter instead

It is extremely difficult to adopt from them, not to mention very expensive. It is sad that we are judged off an application and not as a family.

You don't do cosmetic altering on a rescue dog just to make it more "desireable" for adopting. And then charge $800 for an adoption fee PLUS donations. And you can't prove that the dog is 100% purebred. At that price, you would be better off going through reputable breeder

More like breeders. what kind of rescue docks tails and charges $800?

I was wanting to visit some pups, possibly adopting one. So I drove over expecting to see a animal shelter. Instead I see a residential area, As I get closer to the address I see a Rottweiler a few houses down unattended taking a poo in a person yard. I see a different person going to get the pup from a different home. I assumed it was their pup. As I get to the address, its a home with the front door wide open. I knocked, no answer. I rang the doorbell and you can hear Alexa throughout the home saying someone is at the door. No answer. I hear someone approaching me from behind and see its that same person I saw earlier with the pup saying the it belongs here. So I and a neighbor were standing there knocking and banging on the door for about 15-20 min with no answer. We called the police to check it out as its very awkward situation. So we were starting to walk away and get into some shade when people magically appeared and claimed they were in the back yard. I think they are full of s**** Very awkward, very unprofessional environment. I left. This should not be on google maps as a shelter. Because its not.
