Great store with reasonable prices while we're visiting but we got some dip that was already 6 days expired that we didn't realize till we had already had some.

Never disappoints! They always have the items I prefer in stock, which makes shopping so convenient. The quality is consistently excellent, especially the rack of pork ribs—they’re perfect every time! I appreciate the store’s reliability, cleanliness, and great selection.”

I walked in on dale making fun of a guy with cancer and laughing at him calling him a big tough guy when the guy clearly doesn’t look like his id cause he is sick . And when telling dale the manager that he kept laughing and scoffing instigating by getting right up in the sick guys face and saying you are real tough guy huh .Safeway responded and said reach out through our chat but that won’t fix sales behavior. Nobody running a store acts like that he did .he got right up in his face and called him skinny and small and a bunch of other mean things. What did dale want to see happen

Always accommodating, unlike the Safeway on Alma School in Chandler Heights(rudeness there).

Completely unamused, found metal in the peas and carrots, gave the manager my own personal container- they gave me a 25 dollar gift card which was either lost/stolen and I got an "oh well, sucks to be you" email back. They hoped my luck turns around. Excuse me? So it's my luck that your company sold metal in vegetables, it's my luck that you sent me the wrong letter [I know what you said in that wrong letter too, I saved it.]
This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. I was cool, I was fine- up until you "closed the case" and clapped your hands clean. Pretty rude, Tracy Parish.

Clean store. Friendly staff. Mostly come here for the bakery, however it was a little depleted recently. If you watch the sales and use the app it’s possible to get some great deals. I do like this store.

I wanted to give a shoutout to Justin, the butcher. I asked a lot of him on a really busy day, and he handled the pressure like a champ. He was able to give me exactly what I needed for my ribeye roast, and was kind enough to recommend the right cuts of meat for me to make beef jerky. Not only that, he also sliced the meat into thin pieces for me, which I know can be time consuming. I really appreciate employees who go out of their way to get the customers EXACTLY what they need, and do it willingly. Thank you, Justin!

Went to the bank and then grocery shopping. The prices are VERY HIGH here. I always say that I'm not coming back, but I always grab a 'few things' and wind up with a full cart. Next month, the bank moves across the street, and I won't be back to this Safeway ever again.

It has become increasingly difficult to deal with this Safeway. They have completely remove the concept of customer service. It was purchasing stuff that was listed on the Friday deals on the email that was sent to me by Safeway and they said it's not on our piece of paper so we will not honor it.. what the heck? Really really really becoming difficult to shop at that store. You think they would try harder to compete against the beautiful Frys across the street. Sometimes in life you get punished for loyalty. 🥴
AFTER response: It goes to show how top down works... the point is: GOOD customer service when shown the email FROM SAFEWAY inviting me in to enjoy a few discounts, the staff should HONOR the email and deal with showing the customer that they are potentially receiving the email from another district. ..NOT tell you to go ahead and leave that we aren't honoring that email.
BTW, the loyalty account is set to 5137 E. Baseline Rd and has been from the start.
Suggestion: start thinking like you actually OWN the store and want to earn and KEEP customers' business.
