We purchased a mattress here and, unfortunately, did not like it. We gave it seven days to acclimate to the new mattress and it is just not working for us. We remembered being told that we would be charged a return/re-stock fee and we were prepared for that. We were told today that their policy is not to pick up a return until 30 days after purchase. That is a ridiculous policy. I explained that I am not sleeping well and that 30 days of sleeping on a mattress we do not like is too long. Why would they want us to keep sleeping on their mattress that they know is a return? This was a big purchase for us and it is upsetting enough that it is not working for us and that we have to pay a restock fee. This was our first experience with Sleep Number and we are disappointed.

Great experience! Go here and ask for Leroy if you are thinking about getting a Sleep Number. Leroy was easy to work with and never once pressured us. He educated us and then watched patiently as we jumped back and forth between 2 beds for probably 30 minutes. When we were unsure he let us go home and think about it without any sales gimmicks. We returned the next day and bought a mattress. It is rare that a salesman doesn’t get pushy, or rush you at all. He also never once tried to upsell us. My only wish is that Leroy would sell cars because I would go to him every time.

Do you want a good night sleep? Went to purchase our second one, the first lasted 19 years. Leroy got us into the right bed for us and amazingly never once tried to upsell us to a higher model. He looked up what we previously had and said well. Let's start with one that's very similar and it was. It felt good. Really good but we've kind of wanted to try some of the newer technology and went from there. You know you can buy a mattress every 5 years or you can buy one mattress that will last 20 plus years and that's the beauty about sleep number beds.

AJ and his team at Sleep Number are AMAZING! Truly one of the best, most down to earth teams I have ever dealt with when purchasing furniture. I felt comfortable, never pressured and am super excited for my bed to arrive. :)

John Szymkowski provided excellent customer service. I called ahead about sheets and he educated me on my options and pulled aside the ones I wanted since I couldn’t get to the store asap. I went later that day and he was such a big help throughout the purchase. I’ve used these sheets now on my sleep number bed and they don’t move thank goodness! My brooklinen ones come off every night. Thanks John for your expertise on my options and your help! I’ll probably be back for more!

My wife and I have always thought of ourselves as knowledgeable, educated and savoy customers who recognize unethical and illegal business practices such as predatory behaviors, switch and bait techniques, pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing schemes etc. We always shop with the old adage "buyer beware" in mind and have never been seriously duped by a business. However, our successful run came to an abrupt end on Friday, Feb. 24, 2023, when we realized we had fallen prey to Sleep Number's well-honed corporate marketing practices at a mere cost of $2,468. On Jan. 11th, we visited the Gilbert Sleep Number store (11092) looking to replace our current mattress with one that would hopefully last us through our remaining years (we are 75 yrs. young). We tried various mattresses, listened to the salesman about various characteristics about their mattresses, and pricing. We liked the Flextop King i8 Smart Bed and the Flextop King 360 FlexFit 1 base. However, we left the store without purchasing to make sure we had not missed anything. Even before returning home, we received an email from the salesman which stated: "1. There is a 15 year limited warrty 2. The monthly payments include everything 3. You have 100 night on the mattress 4. the end of the sale is the 16th." This is verbatim. I emailed the store at 2:49PM and asked what does "100 night mean?" At 3:01PM, an email from the salesman stated verbatim: " The mattresses as a 100 night if you don't like it you can switch it out for a different model or return the mattresses and just pay the 249 for our guys to pick up." On Jan. 12th, we made the purchase by phone (mattress and adjustable base). Twenty-twenty hindsight now shows where we failed in the "buyer beware" sphere. We assumed the salesman gave us complete information regarding the refund/return policy, but as his emails demonstrate he only mentioned the mattress, not the adjustable base and we missed that "little" detail. We missed it because the mattress can be raised or lowered independently but it needs the adjustable base to perform the function. In essence, the one is of no value without the other and one assumes that if you return the mattress the base would be part of the return! Bad assumption. Within 3 weeks we realized the bed was not working for us and on Feb. 18th, I contacted customer service about returning it and was told we had to wait until Feb. 25th to initiate a return. Called them on Feb. 24th, and was told we had two options. First, we could swap out the mattress for another but that would be considered a final sale. If we didn't like the second one, we would be stuck with it. So, we didn't want to take that chance. Second, they would refund the mattress, but would not take back the base at a cost of $2,468. What is interesting is two days ago there was a post on Yelp by a Sleep Number representative stating they will take back the base and will give you store credit. How sweet! We have a completely furnished bedroom with all bedding, decorations, etc. and now we can by $2,468 of stuff we do not need or want. We got GOT! Buyers beware, do not assume salespeople are telling or giving you all the information you need to make a fully informed decision. Our salesman did not outright lie to us, but "by omission" he misled us regarding the refund/return policy, and you can bet he was taught to do that. Is this unethical behavior, you decide. I should add that in the paperwork directly in front of me, the refund/return policy is nowhere to be found. I'm sure that if I search the Sleep Number website, I will find the policy. We failed in our due diligence and now get to pay the price. So beware buyers.

The bed itself is nice. The only caution is be aware if you were having to remove a bed, the movers will not touch the bed. You will have to take it apart and removed the bed before the delivery People will put the bed together even after we bought the kit to use the headboard. The delivery team would not put it together or attach it. So if you cannot take your bed apart, you’ll be stuck.

Kyle is a great salesperson. I hate using the word salesperson, as it doesn't really fit him. He is very attentive to your needs, and does not try attracting you to the higher priced mattresses. I had a thought when we got home. Yes these mattresses are more expensive than many other mattresses, but considering you spend 1/3 of your day on them, I think it is worth it. How much do you spend on a vehicle that you may spend 2 hours per day in?

My wife purchased one of these beds. Not sure what one or price but I'm sure it was a lot of money. As these beds are not cheap we have an existing frame an expensive wood frame. We wanted to keep this frame so the salesperson told her that this bed would fit as she took them the measurements. Waited a month for delivery and the incompetent delivery guys show up and can't figure out how to make it work. I mean they only had to remove a few screws from the frame to get it to work. It's not rocket science. They claim that they can't be responsible for removing these screws. So they take are old bed apart and leave it on the porch. I just can't believe that they don't run into problems like this and come prepared for such things. The salesperson told her that they would come and take the old bed apart and take the old mattress with them. And when they arrived they told her that they were not supposed do anything like that. The bottom line is that they won't go the extra mile to satisfy the customer.
