I spent $1,600 at Sun Devil Auto for repairs that included engine diagnosis and an oil leak diagnosis. I was instructed to bring the vehicle back after approximately 150 miles, which I did. At that visit, I was told no leaks were detected and to come pick up the vehicle.
Upon pickup, the check engine light was on. I immediately asked the staff to diagnose it. I was told they would take care of it and get back to me. That never happened.
It is now Friday at 4:30 PM, the vehicle has not been diagnosed, and no one followed up with me. I am now being told I need to pay an additional $205 for diagnostics, and that it cannot be done until tomorrow.
This situation is the direct result of poor internal communication and follow-through, not anything I did as a customer. I brought the vehicle back exactly as instructed and raised the issue immediately. Being asked to pay more because nothing was done is unacceptable.
This has been a terrible experience, and I will not be doing business with Sun Devil Auto again.

Not sure what the deal was. Went in for a differential fluid change. Somthing ive done myself many times, just didnt want to do it myself this time. 3.4 hours later he saw some sparkles in the oil after removing top plug. Didnt want to explain to him that it was completely normal, nor should I have to. So he didnt want to remove cover becuse he said it might have bigger issues. I didnt want him to remove the cover becuase immediately I wanted to leave and just do it myself. I asked to rotate tires, also not done. Ive had sun devil do work on my truck before at a different location with no problems. I did the diff fluid change this morning. Everything looked great. Absolutely no issues. Still scratching my head why I was in the lobby for 3.5 hrs only to leave with nothing done. I went with sun devil becuase I preffer real mechanics. Clearly this was the wrong way to go about it. Very weird I wasn't in and out with such a simple task. Also didnt get a real explanation on what took 3.4 hours. Just thought id add photos of my oil when I changed it this morning.

Every time i have taken my cars here, I receive nothing but stellar service. I'm frequently informed of the status of my vehicle by a phone call and actually talking to someone! I never feel like I'm being jerked around and can always count on the work being done is done right. If you want great customer service, attention to detail and honest work, this is the place!

Very friendly staff and Mark was amazing. I will definitely use them again. I thought that it was a lot of money, but my car was sick. If something happens again, I will come back in perhaps get a better discount for being a frequent flyer.

This is my second time going to this location. The splash guard under my car needed repair and they gave me multiple options on how to fix it. They also alerted me about another issue with my car, but told me it was minor and was not in urgent need of repair. I appreciate the upfront honesty, and did not feel like they were trying to push me to buy additional services. The part came in within 12 hours and everything was completed within the time they quoted. Will definitely be back!
