I highly recommend UMB and have banked with them since 1998. I would not, however, do another commercial loan with UMB as long as Frank Gorman works UMB.

I recently visited UMB Bank in Gilbert and had an amazing experience! Chelsea and Dianna were absolute rockstars. They helped me consolidate some debt that had a nearly 30% interest rate down to 0%! I couldn't be happier with their assistance and the outcome. I'm so glad I chose to go to UMB Bank, and I would definitely recommend their services to anyone. Beware: I wasted a lot of time and took a hard inquiry to my credit due to lack of professionalism on this institutions part. I asked what the rate would be for a heloc and was told 6%. So we started the process. I even approached them a few weeks into the process to confirm the rate was 6%. Finally when it was time to sign papers the documents reflected 6.99%. Call me crazy, to me that is "7%". I'm blessed to not need their loan, it would have just been an improvement on the current rate I'm getting, however, it was very disappointing and in the end a colossal waste of time. I try not to do business with ppl or businesses that fail to honor their commitment. I believe they thought I would just let it slide bc I had invested so much time and, of course, took the hard inquiry hit to the credit score. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND A SIGNIFICANT WASTE OF TIME. I would suggest trying a different lender.
