I recently visited this UPS store to send a package to Canada. I asked the representative if they could score the box to reduce its height and, consequently, the shipping cost. The rep claimed this couldn't be done because the box didn't have score lines, which is incorrect. The whole point of scoring is to resize boxes that don't already have score lines.
Despite this, I proceeded to get a shipment estimate. To my shock, the quote was $170. This seemed exorbitant, so I checked UPS's online quote for the same dimensions and weight, which came to $119. I confronted the rep, showing them the online quote as well, and they said there's nothing they can do about it. This store is clearly upcharging significantly—almost 50%.
Frustrated, I went to FedEx instead. The representative there was able to score the box down as requested, and the price matched their online quote. I ended up shipping the package for half the cost.
The service at this UPS store was unsatisfactory. The staff demonstrated a lack of knowledge about basic shipping practices and provided poor customer service. Additionally, the significant price markup compared to online quotes is unacceptable.
I recommend avoiding this UPS store and considering alternatives like FedEx, where I received efficient service and fair pricing.

I came in here on Saturday and I needed to do a few Amazon returns, mail out my taxes, do a notary, ship something out to my grandma, and Tanner helped me do all of that in an efficient and polite manner! He was awesomeeeee! This UPS store rocks!!

Stire opens early! Makes it nice to get tasks done before going to office. UPS makes it super easy to package, address, and mail gifts anywhere in the world. Associate was very helpful in providing info on low cost shipping options (forgot his name, but like 6’2’ tall with glasses).
