The sheer VOLUME of items within this store is mind boggling. And that includes ammo though 9mm ammo as of Jan 2024 is STILL hard to find and forget about bulk purchases. Better to do that online.... Recommend: Yes. The store is not cost efficient, so don't expect real bargains here, but you DO have a plethora of diversity, enormous shopping potentials, incredibly diverse ideas for gifting and probably one of the best places I've seen to purchase the newest boats and small, entry grade, off road vehicles for EXTREMELY affordable monthly financing costs!! Like, less than $175.00 for a $16K brand new Bass boat! I understand many don't like these big box stores because of their higher price point but they truly work hard to cover down on so many products to get you to browse, even for your youngest ones!

This has to be the worst bass pro shop I have ever been to. All of the people at the gun counter have 0 knowledge of weapons. How do I know more than you and your job is to sell guns? The other thing is, the Gun library is a hit or miss meaning, it's not open due to staffing. They aren't buying any weapons due to staffing and etc because of staffing. Then why have it if you have so much trouble with staffing? They need to wipe the gun department clean and start over with a new knowledgeable staff.

I wanted to buy my son his first 22 rifle for Christmas this year however after repeated phone calls with no answer I finally got ahold of a customer service representative that said the gun counter was to busy to take my call. I was trying to see if a Henry golden boy was in stock I hung up the phone after wasting 40 minutes of my time just to be told they could not talk to me. .....Sportsman's answered my call in 5 minutes and told me they had a few in stock my son was so happy to get his first rifle this year. Next time sportsman's will be my first call the level of service across the board is hands down the best.

I had never been to a Bass Pro Shop until yesterday. Wow, is this store HUGE. It seems like they literally have ANYTHING you would need for the outdoors. We went to get our Grandson's first photo with Santa. It's very nice of Bass to offer Santa Photos at NO COST. Of course, there are opportunities to purchase a photo package, but it wasn't pushed, and everyone who didn't purchase photos received their free photo with a smile. The employees in the Santa Photo Project area were all friendly and professional. After the photo, we looked around the store's huge inventory of items to purchase. Prices seemed reasonable, and there were plenty of friendly employees ready to help with questions. This store also has a small aquarium and wildlife museum with a lot of taxidermy. Even though I don't have 'outdoor hobbies ', I would definitely shop here if I did!

Bad service! Don't go to this store! Their system is a joke and the staff won't do anything to fix it! Go to Scheels in Chandler instead!

We visited this location, picked up our needed supplies we wanted.. We wandered over to the gun counter, which was extremely busy. All the sales people were busy, with the exception of a gentleman who was busy chatting with a customer. Unfortunately the conversation consisted of personal and non- business . The sales person completely ignored us, while he was discussing his disabilities and advising the customer where to go his advice. Completed unrelated to guns, or any business topic . While waiting 20 minutes for this sales person who was less than 30 feet from us, ignoring us. We decided to leave. Too bad, Cabela's-Bass Pro Shop. You just forfeited a $700 sale , due to an inefficient , uncaring sales person who didn't feel it was his job to wait on customer. But rather chat with his bud... Btw, we went to check out our ammo... when we waited at the counter to check out while 4 sales people ignored us as if we were invisible!!!! What is going on!!!? Finally we had to speak out and ask if we could be checked out. When we got a 'what do you want?' Good grief. We got directed to the front check out where the poor pleasant overworked girl was checking out all the customers. While the 5 sales guys were busy chatting. Yeah their customer service has definitely gone down the tubes.

Gun department is terrible. Came to pick up my online order for a pistol. A email was sent from bass pro with some things to consider before coming to pick up the gun, one part reads word for word: (When picking up your firearm we will ask that you provide your current, physical address on ATF Form 4473, the Firearms Transaction Record. Please note that if the address on your ID does not match your residential address you will be required to provide a second form of government-issued document for verification. Examples include but are not limited to vehicle registration, vehicle title, hunting license, voter ID card, etc.) The gun counter clerk tells me that the A.T.F has changed the rules and they can only take an ID with current address (mine is not, and in Arizona as long as you change your address online a physical new ID is not needed). upon a quick google search I found the ATF.gov website saying word for word (A combination of government issued documents may be used to meet the requirements of an identification document. For example, a passport which contains the name, date of birth, and photograph of the holder may be combined with a voter or vehicle registration card containing the residence address of the transferee in order to comply with the identification document requirements. A passport issued by a foreign government is also acceptable so long as it has all of the required information.) I asked that i would like an explanation for why following not only bass pros rules but also the ATF's rules is not enough to pick up my gun up from the store I drove 45 minutes to get to. When I tried to ask for the document or rule stating the "new" policy, nobody could produce anything.

Walked in today and had a pretty bad experience from the moment we entered. Felt racially discriminated as we were walking around the firearm department. Kept getting bad looks and noticed how a specific group of people were only being greeted and helped but others weren't and you can guess what the other group looked like.

I placed an order online for a firearm. There were no special store policy explained. I went to pick up my purchase when it was available at the nearest store in Glendale, AZ, which is 1 hour away. The fellow who helped me went straight to the background check application and told me it should be processed within 10-12 minutes. After waiting for 45 minutes and finally asking for the status, I was told it was DELAYED and to go home without the firearm. I was told to keep calling for the status. I called over 10 times and no one ever picked up. Today, I was able to talk to the phone desk lady who told me I was next after 23 minutes of holding. Then the call was cut. When I called again and asked for the store manager, I was told he was out on sick leave!!! How convenient for ZERO accountability! After 13 minutes more of holding, the firearm manager told me they do not honor the Brady 3 days release of the firearm. He told me I had to wait up to 30 days and if still DELAYED, I would have to come to the store and request a refund!!! He said I should have been explained the store policy BEFORE I moved forward with the application, at which point I could have requested a full refund. Of course, I was never told anything until it was too late. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had trying to purchase a firearm. I will stick to Mom&Pop stores in the future. Never again through Bass Pro shop/Cabela

I gave 3 stars not because of the service I received but because of a dangerous situation that is present in this store. I have a medical alert service animal. My dog is certified and has 15 months of medical alert training. He is the second service dog I have owned. In the store near the gun counter, lies a Belgian malinois attack dog. I say attack dog, because the animal is clearly not trained to be a service animal, as it tried to attack me and my dog. If the owner hadn’t jumped through the air and grabbed its harness we would’ve been attacked, BE CAREFUL!!
