The staff doesn't do anything they barely even say hello or have a nice day why do they have employees????

The employees are extremely in your face you can’t even talk without them interrupting. Why have self checkouts if you’re going to just scan everything I have (and drop some of it). Maybe you should be less focused on your rating on the screen and more about your actual customers. The employee also completed the survey for me, something ill be reporting to corporate cause I think thats wrong. I wouldve given them one but the hit 9.

Came in to get earphones and decided to grab 20 pieces of candy on the way to the register. After scanning the earphones and while in the middle of entering the amount of candy Miss manager ASHLEY rushed up asking if I needed any help and I told her no thanks I got it. She then said that actually she does need to help me because she needed to count the candy I had just entered. So I handed her the candy and she preceded to INCORRECTLY count the candy and in a condescending tone Ashley stated “ would you like to pay for the extra TWO pieces of candy because you got 22 not 20” so I asked to recount the candy and in front of her I counted out 18 pieces EXCLUDING the 2 pieces she held in her hands, meaning I actually did get TWENTY pieces of candy. She then said “oh sorry about that” Very annoying but I wouldn’t be leaving this complaint if she would have just left it at that. For reasons I don’t know, instead of walking away leaving me to pay and assisting other customers at other registers Ashley stood there watching me. When I mentioned that, she planted her feet where they stood and just loudly talked back and forth to the other customer. Very weird. She only left my side when I began walking away with my receipt in hand. Was all of that necessary? No. So I told her she was rude and how she was treating me was wrong. She then said that she was just “trying to cover her own butt” I’m not a thief! If I were I wouldn’t waste my time stealing 10 cent pieces of candy from a five below! It’s nice to see that covering her own butt comes before how Ashley treats people/interacts with customers. Round of applause for Ashley.

Not only did they have plenty of people working to “keep an eye on things” but the only employee at the checkout lines (which were all closed but the one SELF CHECKOUT that the one employee was running like a half ass checkout lane at fry’s. But now you’re going to shake us down for five cents for a bag? I don’t come to stores like this to be petty robbed like that and I certainly don’t come to have a forced happy girl brag about how she’s FALSIFYING REVIEWS on the machine ALL DAY LONG and answering questions on MY customer review questionnaire. “I get nines all day long” she snuggly said as she took it upon herself to answer a review question meant for MY OPINION. This is NOT a legal process for obtaining reviews and feedback and I have already sent this more then unacceptable form of business practice to your corporate representatives. Me and mine will unfortunately not be doing business with your company anymore due to these reasons.

Won’t be coming to this location again !
I don’t get why five below has self check out if we can’t self check out ! The employees have to do it and only have 1 register open TAKESS WAY LONGER ! Mean while like someone else in the reviews mentioned boxes stacked up . They need to let people self check out again . And this is the only location I’ve been to that literally they don’t let you even pay by yourself I’ve been to other locations where they scan your stuff and leave you to pay and go help someone else in another register and so on ! This one will have a whole line and just one register and the slowest employee scanning stuff too.

I probably won't be frequenting this store anymore. I think it's ridiculous to have all these registers, yet only one is open and you have to wait forever in line for the one employee working to check you out. Meanwhile, there are tons of boxes in the back of the store full of products that need to be stocked, blocking whole sections and aisles. Also, both size bags are the same price and yet the employee tried to fit all of my things in the smaller bag, leaving items out, instead of just utilizing the larger bag they would've all fit in. Like, come on! Then, she told me the price and waited for me to insert my money into the machine but she grabbed my change and handed it to me. Idk, I just didn't like that. If self-checkout will no longer be, then get a normal register that someone stands behind and rings you up instead of standing next to you,
just making the whole transaction awkward.

The staff should ask if you want a bag that you have to pay for and not just assume you want a bag and charge you for it, that is not okay. Staff should also not complete the survey for you, it is wrong to assume the customer would give you a high rating. This place has gone down hill with customer service, I do not enjoy going here anymore. The staff that checks you out just stands there and talks to each other while you’re just waiting to pay, wasting your time. Conversations can be after if you’re going to not allow self scanning anymore.

My kids and I love this store, awesome stuff . My son loves the "blocks" that are knockoff legos, I rather pay for those than the over price legos. Theres always something interesting to buy.

Store is nice and all and I understand it isn't self checkout anymore but they should have more workers checking out. I always have someone doing my stuff and get charged for bags meanwhile the person behind me in line checks themselves out and does not charge themselves per bag they use. Workers won't even say to wait until an employee is available.
