I bought sod here. It was rolled up, visible edges were lush green. Took it home, unloaded it, wheelbarrowed it all to the back yard. Began unrolling it & laying out. All of it was dead except for the edges. Called the store to come get it from the back yard & to bring good sod to the back They refused.

We asked the cashier to send an associate to get an item with a barcode. The associate near by gave a by sigh and walked away. So my father had to walk back and look for annitem with barcode when on the shelve most items were missing the scanning barcode.
Ugh.... not happy 😒

I purchased a Blue Rhino propane tank (now AmeriGas) for my BBQ grill at Home Depot. When I attached it to my grill the gas would not flow from the tank. After examining the tank, I found the valve was defective.
Home Depot would not exchange it for another full tank. The only option I was given was to purchase a new tank as if I was exchanging an empty tank. I don’t know how to protect yourself from this rip-off.
I’m sure Home Depot will receive full credit from AmeriGas for returning a full tank that is defective. My future propane purchases will be from stores other than Home Depot.
I gave them 2 stars because I have had better experiences at this store in the past.

I recently purchased a light from Home Depot, and I’m extremely disappointed with the experience. The light came in a sealed box, but when I opened it, I found broken batteries inside. Even worse, the batteries were leaking a toxic liquid, which caused the battery compartment to rust.
This is completely unacceptable and poses a serious health and safety risk. I expected better quality and safety standards from Home Depot. I will think twice before making another purchase from this store.

Save yourself some aggravation and don’t rent from this place. Complete waste of time. They say they open at 5am. Got there at 5:20 and their guy says he has to move trucks first in the parking lot. Then caps it off with I have something else to do after this. This was my 3rd bad experience with these idiots. All done. Worst customer service ever.

Went to exchange/return a Father’s Day gift ( a shop vac) I purchased from another location, an older man working at the return counter asked for my receipt which I unfortunately did not have but did use my pro account and had my card I purchased with, the man asked where I got the product from, I was confused and said here at homedepot just another location, and he said yeah I’m not returning that without scanning anything. The item was still in the box never opened and brand new. I explained to look up the receipt with my pro account and he refused as well as possibly looking up with my card information. Not sure if he was new and didn’t understand how the system works, but I worked as a front end supervisor for 7 years with homedepot. He didn’t even try to begin processing the return. I walked out of the store with my product and made the drive to the original store I purchased at and was able to make the return by having the managers do a receipt lookup. Make sure you have a receipt at this location or the return desk will refuse your service.

They normally have most stuff, but expensive hard to locate help. Quantities are frequently too large for small projects. They've also made it hard to get Vet. Discount. Usually use Ace Hardware for most things. Larger small item selelection & easy to get help. Better store then H.D.
