Can't figure out how to get insurance to cover a medication or let me pay cash like I have been doing. Insurance won't cover because of it being 1 pill over there limit 4 pills a day for pain management medication. Been on For years and already went through 3 days of horrible withdrawals 😢 😫 been 11 days since the 3rd trying to get it figured out. Tomorrow I go into withdrawal again. How can this happen I'm in horrible pain with l4 back injury ontop ofvavl5 s1 fusion and multiple injuries. Waiting for surgery. Great job pharmacy staff and Safeway.

I used to receive this medication. I no longer do. I have informed the pharmacy several times by calling them and speaking to the Pharmacy techs about it, or by simply replying “No” to the auto texts when asked if I would instead decline the refill request.
I have now received 8 texts about this medication and I’ve told the auto response “No,” several times and the texts correctly states that they logged my response and I am choosing not to pick up the prescription. BUT then it will occur again the next day.
I have also received several phone calls and voicemails from Safeway and I have returned three of those calls, again stating I am no longer on this medication, and each time I’ve been told they will delete it from their system and stop the auto refill.
I’ve also called the Albertson Help Desk but because I pick up my medication in person and never pay online, they cannot help me.
Well, unsurprisingly, this morning I got yet another text.
What will it take? How incompetent are your staff?

This store needs a General Manager that understands the supermarket industry and can lead and train. Worst customer service in every department. Everyone always seems inconvenienced to help. 5pm dinner time and all hot food ALWAYS empty! No matter what day or time...fresh hot food always empty. Sad!

The staff at this pharmacy have gone above and beyond to help me navigate insurance and find the most cost-effective ways to manage my prescriptions. They are friendly and helpful - and they're saving me money. Highly recommend!

The staff here used to be wonderful. Katrina and Ashley are fantastic, it's really too bad they aren't there anymore. Now, there is terrible communication with doctor's offices and very poor customer service. Blatant incompetence. They had the nerve to lie to me and to my doctor's office about what my insurance does and does not cover. I have been waiting for a script that was written two weeks ago and was authorized by my insurance shortly after and was promised by Kyle it would be in yesterday. I'm changing pharmacies. I'm done. I guess it doesn't matter to these people when someone can't get essential medication.

The people that work there are nice enough, but this group is woefully understaffed. They rarely answer the phone so if there's an issue or you just have a question, you have to go there and stand in line. If there are 2 people ahead of you, you will be there a while. I can't remember the last time I saw more than 2 people there working no matter what time of day. If they had some people, it'd help their overall rating.

What a Joke, lady that works there knows nothing about customer service. Walked up to window at 1:27 there was a customer getting help by another representative. The female lady that works there comes up to me at 1:30 and says sorry we’re closed? You will have to come back at 2 o’clock. I asked what time do you close? She says 130, I let her know well is there a way you can just give him me my prescription? She says no we’re closed see you at 2! As I walk away, I hear her say sometimes you just Gotta tell them what they don’t wanna hear. Lol. Must suck to be a pharmacist and hate your job! I feel sorry for her husband if she’s married. But Honey I just wanted a little dinner. Sorry. See you at 7:30. And don’t ask questions! Don’t talk to me until then! Sometimes kids you gotta tell dad what he needs to hear! Absolute joke

Slow, non engaging employees. Sever lack of service abilities. Wait in line for 10-20 minutes each time. Just an unpleasant place. Glad Fry's opened up around the corner. Y'all should go there. Above and beyond service. I've been doing business with this terrible Pharmacy for a year. I had to call to find out they were out of stock on my prescription. No one let me know at all. Called in and asked where the prescription was, found out they were out of stock. I asked the gentleman if he could find another Safeway nearby that has it in stock. He told me he doesn't know I will need to call them myself.After a year of this type of service I decided to call into the new Fry's Pharmacy on Jomax. Fry's said they didn't have it in stock however this gentleman on his own accord found a nearby location that has it in stock and gave me all the information. Also he said that if I fill my prescription through them it will be automated and I won't need to worry about going out of stock. WOW shocker Safeway is terrible go elsewhere GO TO FRYS!!!

I've switched to this pharmacy because it's close to home. If I continue to receive Nikki M. As my teller, I will no longer be a customer. Unfortunately, I get her every time. She is rude, slow, seemingly unaware of where she is, and oblivious of how to do her job. I have to repeat myself MULTIPLE times and witnessed her do the same to someone in front of me today. Nikki is the sole reason your lines are always so long. Please let her go. She is toxic to your business. To be clear, I'm referring to the Safeway pharmacy on 39th Avenue and Happy Valley Rd.
