Two years ago our little boy Merlot had a seizure, on a Sunday afternoon & they made an appt for Monday morning. We got the sad news that his little heart was broken. We had to make the difficult decision that it was time to let him go. After filling out all the necessary paperwork they left Merlot with us to saying goodbye to him was very difficult but they gave us the comfort of holding him & letting him know that we loved him dearly. I was difficult to walk out without him. It's now 2 years & two weeks later & after our loss in Oct 2021 we have found ourselves the happy ending & parents of a new baby boy who was named Yukon, & we lovingly shortened his name to Yuko. I'm going to be making an appt for any remaining shots & his rabies vaccine not sure if he will be happy or upset with us. Don't care if he's unhappy just want to make sure he is & stays healthy. We will all grow into old age together. Welcome to our family, Yukon or Yuko. We love you.

This business has always been amazing. I've had emergency c-sections, routine pet care and had to have my beloved fur baby put down and they were so caring and thoughtful at a time I could barely hold it together. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful experience. The vets and employees here genuinely care about your pet and seek to provide the best care possible.

We have been going there since 2012 and with us, rescuing mostly trainwrecks, we have been there A LOT. We were there again today to trim our Great Dane mix nails and they did an awesome job and the cost was unbelievably low. We have been there from surgery's, cancer and every other problem from eyes down to their tails and we are forever grateful, for the doctors, vet techs, vet assistants and everyone else on this team!

We have been clients for 12 years. They are so over priced you would think they were located in Beverly Hills. They never have same day visits, always refer you to emergency clinics that charge thousands. I believe the staff are not as committed to our animals health as they are to making money . I have never in 12 years felt like we received the proper care

Have been taking my animals here for a few years. I have had no problem with the vets themselves. But the office staff recently has gone downhill. Twice in the past 4 months, I have made appts for my dogs. And both times I have been called 20-30 THE DAY OF the appt and told I couldn't bring them in. Once was because they didn't have a Bordetella shot (this was a grooming appt) and the next time I was told my dog's annual wellness exam was expired and they could not serve him til that was completed. He was scheduled just for a nail trim and I had already given him a sedative for the appt!! But they still insisted his exam get scheduled first and would reset the nail appt. Seriously? He took medication to help out and you can't have a little compassion on this? My other dog has an appt in the next week and they can't trust I will make the annual exam appt after the nail exam for my other dog? Ugh. What further upset me was each time of these calls they had no regret that THEY had made a mistake and should not have allowed the appts to be made. Had they been able to recognize their mistake I would have been inconvenienced but would not have been as upset. It's ridiculous to me that they call and cancel appts the day of!!! Which took weeks to get set. I'm out.

The staff here are angels, the compassion and care they provided my sweet Roxy girl and my family on short notice is so appreciated. My sweet Roxy was scheduled for in home euthanasia on May 19th due to a long battle with Cushing's Disease. My sweet Roxy let me know on May 10th at 5pm she was ready, my in home vet was not available and the Vet that had taken care of Roxy since she was a puppy retired in January. I frantically called the closest animal hospital, Ginger answered the phone and even though we were not customers and they closed at 6pm - Ginger and the wonderful staff said we could bring her in. They took care of my family and Roxy the moment we walked in, they did not rush us and gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes and love on our sweet Roxy. Even though we had never met anyone there we felt like our Roxy was instantly with people who cared about her. This was a very difficult time and I can not thank everyone at Goodyear Animal Hospital enough for the kindness shown to Roxy and my family. And thank you for charging a reasonable price. We hear too often of people taking advantage of people in need, but you did not. When I am ready to open my heart to another sweet animal this will be my vet of choice and I will recommend you to everyone I know that has a pet.

The staff has been amazing. I recently rescued a pup and I was able to get in and get him set up with all his puppy shots!

We came in with a rescue from Maricopa animal shelter a few months ago. Buddy, a black lab mix, not used to being around a lot of people after 5 months in the shelter. The team at Goodyear were so kind and understanding. He also was perfectly fine with them. We have found our new vet and look forward to a long relationship with them. Thank you again for your patience, kindness, and excellent advice!

This place hires the newest youngest and cheapest vets. someone should teach them that running up thousands of dollars of tests and lab work does not pay off in the longrun when the dog is basically healthy, but has only a minor problem. they try to scare you into approving this stuff. All it does is lose customers who decide never to go back. It is incredibly hard to see Dr Shomberg even when you have been a longtime patient,

I am disheartened to write this review. I previously wrote a 5 star review on this vet 4 years ago which I just removed. We have been taking our rescue dogs here since they were 6 months old, now 3 years old. They are fully vaccinated and up to date on all requirements needed for their maximum health. We signed up for the "Vaccines for Life Program" at $75/per dog. We took both our dogs yesterday (after waiting for 3 months to get an appointment) for their annual wellness checkup and for their yearly vaccinations needed. The cost was $609 less $48 for senior discount and less $128 for the "free vaccines for life discount" for a whopping total of $433. Then to add insult to injury we were "asked" at least ten times by the vet tech AND the vet to get the heartworm test - which we refused this year (we had always gotten the test for the prior 3 years). WHY we asked? We were bullied and felt like they were trying to UPSELL another cost of $60+ for each dog. If they have gotten the vaccinations preventing heartworm for the last 3 years and STILL do NOT have heartworm, why get the test to prevent heartworm? Oh, just in case they said plus the manufacturer will not pay for the treatment IF they do get heartworm they replied. They still asked us at least 10 times. Again, we refused and did so not because we don't love our dogs but because they are inside dogs 99% of the time, one of us is ALWAYS at home with them, they sleep with us, they do their business on PET TURF which is picked up twice a day, our yard is spotless and we don't have a pool which attracts mosquitos. We are now looking for another vet. Very disappointing, I don't trust them anymore and felt like crying after I left for the way they bullied us. I felt like a second class citizen because of their actions. In addition, their fees are exorbitant. They belong to a corporation called AZPetVet which has about 12 locations in Maricopa County.

I was in town for the week and my dog had some sort of allergic reaction/rash. They worked with me to fit me in same day, got him treated and back to normal. Staff is friendly and very responsive.

Just moved to the area and finding a good groomer is very important to my fur baby and I! We just happened to get lucky with this being the first place we checked out. Victoria was our groomer today and did an awesome job! She took time in the beginning to learn about my girl and how she acts and what kind of grooming she gets. Each time I had to call to schedule, the front desk was extremely friendly and responsive. Lilly is looking forward to her grooming next month. I also scheduled her her annual check up here and I'm sure that visit will be just as great!
