My previous tax preparer, unfortunately, passed away unexpectedly … days before my appointment. She was like family,. Being new to Arizona and being in a pinch, I went with a referral from an acquaintance for a local tax preparer. He recommended Meese Khan LLC in Goodyear. Well, after filing an extension to buy some time to adjust, I can gladly say that today, October 04, 2023, my transaction with Meese Kahn LLC is complete. I have informed them to remove my name from their database as I will not be using their services in the future.I will say this….if you like attorneys and the feeing you get when you walk into an attorney’s office, then they might be ok for you… as long as you’re ok with paying attorney’s wages as well. I, personally, can’t stand attorneys and getting that feeling when I walked in their office sent the red flags flying but I was in a completely unforeseen situation so I guess you could say I hoped for the best. Karen (another red flag ?) Hess was assigned my file. I will simply summarize by saying, it was difficult at best. Trina was very nice which was a pleasant surprise.They are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE and in no way would I recommend their services to anyone simply looking for personal tax preparation. In the time since I initially hired Meese Kahn LLC, I have found numerous well respected tax preparers in the Goodyear area that have much more reasonable fees. Fees that are more fitting Arizona. Meese Kahn LLC could be attempting to capitalize on the influx of former Californians to the area, I’m not sure, but their prices definitely align more with LA or SD. Ironically, I moved to Arizona to get away from the crazy high cost of living but it seems to have infected some companies here in the Goodyear area.Best wishes to all looking for a tax preparer but I strongly encourage you to do your due diligence. I wish I would have had just a little more time to search around prior to my experience with Meese Kahn LLC but you don’t need to make the same mistake I did.GOD BLESS

Unfortunately, we are not happy with Jason's services and will not be recommending him in the future. Our initial intro call went really well and he seemed like he would be helpful. We have a small business in addition to other sources of income and wanted to ensure we were doing things by the book. I'm not sure if he only works with folks that have more experience but Jason made us feel like he didn't have time to answer our basic questions or would not give us the level of detail to understand fully. There were a couple of times he did not respond to our emails (latest one is going on 5 days). Your experience might be different if you are more experienced in taxes, write-offs, etc but we are not. We left the situation feeling unsupported, lost and like we got the short end of the stick.

Jason and his team are awesome. Friendly staff easy to get ahold of for questions and suggestions and their service is second to none. We moved our business over to Meese Khan 2 years ago and wished we would of done it sooner.
