Incredible infrastructure (Flush toilets!) for a campground at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. Lots of spaces to choose from and a pleasant stream running next to the campground as well.

This is a Robinson-style accommodation where you can't expect luxury, but despite that, the campsite is excellently equipped and located in a perfect spot next to Bright Angel Creek, where you can refresh yourself after hiking. The entire location is very picturesque, and the camp is mostly occupied by hikers who observe quiet hours, so it's truly peaceful and pleasant. Each plot has its own food box and a usable table, which is very useful during summer when shade moves. The toilets are centrally located in the camp, along with drinking water. It's a perfect place.

Beautiful place to camp. We got lucky that it was a cool night out under the stars!

A long trek to get here, but we'll worth it. It took us 6 hours to hike down to this campground from South Kaibab trail.

FANTASTIC CAMPGROUND! Perfect set up for R2R hikers or for people looking to overnight in one of the most beautiful places on earth. The campground sits off the North Kaibab Trail giving some privacy away from the rest of the traffic on trail. Has about 31 spots ranging in number of tents able to be set up. All spots have a picnic table and post to hang your pack from as well as a food box to keep your gear and the local wildlife safe. We did encounter some deer strolling through camp on the day we left so be watchful when your food is out. 10/10 would recommend this stay to anyone staying at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL campground!! It's quiet & peaceful, the views are 100% worth the trip, everyone was so nice. If you have the time I suggest staying at least 2 nights. Park Ranger Kate was incredibly nice and helpful. My mother had some issues with her feet by the time we got to the campground. Ranger Kate went above & beyond to make sure she was okay, find her a new set of boots and even let us know alternate options if she couldn't make the hike back up. She really saved the 2nd half of our trip so we could continue to enjoy the canyon.

I have had the best sleep in my entire life here, more than once. A thin blanket of stars helps.

Stayed here 2 nights in late June. Extremely hot during the day but the creek is refreshing. Sleeping under the stars at night was a nice change of pace from city life, especially with the deer and bats all around. Definitely recommend staying here on a trip to the grand canyon.

Beautiful! It is very hot and humid at night so drink plenty of water and be prepared to travel in the night to avoid hot temperatures.

Difficult to book a site and Ranger said in Spring 2022 are only running at 50% capacity due to Covid but great destination for a hike.If you are an experienced, intelligent and strong hiker it’s possible to be here in 4-6 hours down South Kaibab and hike out to Bright Angel in 5-7. It’s a long and very hard day but really worthwhile. Start as early as possible but definitely before 7am so can avoid the worst of the heat.

Beautiful scenery! Some sites are more open than others. Close to boat beach and phantom ranch. Bathrooms were clean and had flushing toilets and running water! We stayed the last week of January 2022, temps got down to 33 and high of 65

I camped on Thanksgiving in November 2021.The daytime temperature was 55F, the weather was wonderful, and the scenery was, unsurprisingly, very beautiful. The campsite is located along a creek and was not full.At night it was jet black and the stars were very beautiful.I was very tired and thought I would soon fall asleep, but the sound of the creek bothered me, and the temperature was only 25F, so I was too cold to sleep at all night.Ear plugs and protection from the cold are definitely necessary.

A nice campground with picnic tables, pack hanging poles and food storage boxes. All greatly needed due to the ground squirrels. Not a lot of shade. Great proximity to Bright Angel Stream, which was greatly appreciated. It was 106F in mid-Sep!
