Grand Canyon Plaza HotelWe stayed here in September 2023Large and professional hotel. Room in separate outbuilding but very large with separate sitting room with TV and bedroom with TV. Two sinks. Shower with shower curtain.Parking in front of building.Swimming pool and spa jacuzzi not used.Breakfast opted for buffet 18 dollars per person. Not on the menu in the room in terms of choice. As a hotel guest you receive a 10% discount and 15% service costs are also immediately added to the bill. Breakfast had a wide choice and excellent seating. Coffee is always refilled. The same goes for the Wagon Wheel Saloon bar and restaurant. The wine in the bar tasted great and the food was decent.Staff at reception and breakfast very friendly and customer-oriented.The grand store supermarket is convenient but very pricey. The supermarket in Grand Canyon NP was even cheaper. Second evening we ate at We Cook Pizza and Pasta.Grand Canyon entrance is around the corner.Hotel fine and good for 3 days.

I think the price is definitely up there for what you get. It could be better, but the location makes it somewhat worth it. It’s located about 6 minutes from the gate. If you have dogs there is a fee, and I recommend not getting a spot near the Hottub area. The walls are thin and my dogs aren’t big barkers but they were definitely alert all night with their heads looking at the door.

The hotel is located at the back of the hotel area and feels like the back parking lot of another hotel. When we arrived it was not clear where the entrance to the hotel was and where we could park to check in.The hotel's parking arrangement is like a motel and this is not what we expected to get.But this is a very small thing that bothered us during my stay at this hotel.I will continue to write about the check-in experience and the lobby, quite noisy, a very long line in the afternoon. The hot drink station is quite poor and there is no hot chocolate like in other hotels where we stayed in this area and in other areas near the national parks during the winter season. The locations of the rooms are arranged in a terrible way giving the feeling of a hostel. The smell of the pool water in the center of the hotel plaza is unbearable because of the jacuzzi (I will expand on it later). The noise of the music trying to reduce the noise of the people because of the terrible acoustics makes for an unpleasant experience at allThe room looks nice at first glance (as you can see in the pictures) but after a few minutes you can understand that this is not the case.In the shower, the bath mat rests on the toilet cistern and touches the towels, the shower itself creates an unpleasant atmosphere mainly because of a yellow curtain from being too old.I'll continue talking about the bed which was one of the worst I've slept in for years, the bed has a dent in the middle and back pain was felt by both me and my partner during the night and the morning. In addition to this, the pillows were not comfortable at all and contributed to these back pains.Regarding the hotel facilities, the jacuzzi is very crowded, we couldn't turn on the water jets for some reason, an unclean feeling in the water, a dirty floor with leaves around the jacuzzi and as I said already, terrible acoustics. The hotel does not offer breakfast but offers a 10 percent discount to the restaurant located inside the hotel and charges extremely high prices (I'm only saying this from looking at the menu).I will conclude and say it simply, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.Rooms: Not comfortable.

Pretty basic hotel. Doors are outside facing. I wouldn’t have booked a hotel knowing that as it’s a safety issue. Pillows were terrible as was the mattress. All in al, spend the extra $10 and stay at the new holiday inn next door.

Came across this hotel very last minute and I truly made a great choice. Rooms were nice and comfortable and the price was phenomenal The indoor pool area was very nice with all the soft lights, the indoor trees and listening to the water trickle. I went to the Wagon Wheel Salon which is a restaurant located inside the hotel. The food was amazing and so was the staff. Short distance from the Grand Canyon. I would stay here again.

We have traveled extensively all over the USA but never have we had to pay more for our dog than we have for an adult!?! This is basically a motel posing as a hotel and they over charge for everything. $55 per night for a pet is an absolute disgrace when you only charge $40 for a human. Stop trying to milk every last cent out of guests and maybe try updating your shabby rooms that have dated ac systems.

The room heating unit was mounted way too high and I had to have another traveler set the heater to a comfortable temperature but by morning the until went to below 69 and even when the heater was at a higher temperature the bathroom was never warm enough for me to take a shower. I will never go back to this hotel in cooler or cold weather.

Last Wednesday, my friends and I encountered a disappointing stay at the Grand Canyon Plaza hotel. The lack of professional assistance from the staff and the disproportionate room price were the primary sources of our dissatisfaction.Upon our late arrival at 11 pm, we discovered the room lacked essential amenities such as blankets, adequate soap, and enough towels for showering. Contrary to the online description, the room, purportedly suitable for five people with a convertible couch, only provided two beds, forcing us to combine them to accommodate our group of five. To add to the frustration, the receptionist mentioned a $20 fee for an air mattress without offering any compensation or discount.Furthermore, the room's cleanliness was subpar, particularly under the bed that we had to move.Considering these inconveniences, the high price we paid for the room did not align with the hotel's quality and the unsatisfactory treatment we experienced. I cannot recommend this hotel to others and have no intention of returning.
