Desert Meadows Park is a unique, colorful, and beautiful Sonoran Desert botanical garden open to the public at no charge. It features walking trails with access to the historic Anza Trail and backs up to a larger trail system. The park is beautifully landscaped by volunteers with cacti, succulents, and many native plants currently in bloom, all labeled. It is a certified butterfly garden and monarch waystation, an eBird Hotspot, and an ArbNet Arboretum. Amenities include picnic areas, a labyrinth, a human sundial, a self-serve nursery, a Little Free Library, ample seating, benches, swings, and a permanent handicapped bathroom facility. This peaceful, friendly, and dog-friendly park has many specialized areas and garden statues, offering a comfortable place for a stroll to see birds, butterflies, and lizards.
