Like many, we have had good experiences here years ago but were disappointed in our visit this weekend. Absurdly overpriced (of course we missed the 12% fee like everyone else so double tipped for self-service..). Soggy sandwiches, no sides included. Completely unimpressed, $78 later. Avoid this place.

Excellent atmosphere, sat outside on one of their tables. Menu was simple and various alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages available. Prices very reasonable and serving size just right. Staff very friendly. Recommend the King Cuban sandwich and the Jerome Donkey for a alcoholic drink.

Pulled pork is good, but it's no frills with no sides and the bun was soggy when served. A bit expensive. Rest rooms had no paper towels. Outside deck was good. Just average.Parking: Paid town parking $5 until midnight

Good location in historical Jerome, AZ. The food was ok, the side dishes were better than the BBQ. It appeared the meats were being kept moist by having it sit in juices. The texture was "wet".

Staff was nice and helpful, though you order at a counter and food is brought to you. Which is totally fine but something to know especially because the food is not cheap and you may have to tip before you even know the service you’re getting. (Edited…just learned about the 12% charge and feel totally scammed. Nothing on the receipt or at the counter to warn customers. Hard to imagine that’s not done on purpose. So they scammed us out of a 32% tip. Disgusting). The bathroom was FILTHY. Totally unacceptable. The food was NOT good. The one star for food was for the brisket tenderness which was nice and the French fries. We ordered a kids Mac and cheese and it was literally melted cheese and maybe some butter. It looked like it was cooked in a microwave or warmer or something because not all of the cheese was even melted. I had to try and stir it to mix in the cheese and that didn’t even work. It was not made with a cheese sauce. The mac and cheese had poblanos and a seasoning which was not listed on the menu. Tasted ok. It was too spicy for my liking and that kind of description should be given. It also meant we couldn’t share with our child. And the cornbread was moist but sadly bland. We will not return because it smelled so good from the outside and we were excited to try it.

Food overpriced. Salad was $20....There is a different price for tourists vs. locals. The salad mark-up is by $6. Plus there is a mandatory 12% fee...My first time leaving a disappointed review. I tried the "Arizona Cheesesteak". It didn't look great nor taste great. The brisket didn't have flavor and they put cheese sauce on top of it. Subpar. I suggest trying different places in town. Disappointing for the price and the food quality.

We flew down to Sedona for birthday week and decided to drive over to Jerome for the day! I'm so glad ... as we walked around, we were drawn to Bobby D's by the wonderful smells wafting from their smoker ... My partner and I split a full rack of ribs and onion rings, and we were in heaven! The ribs were meaty, moist, and so flavorful, and the onion rings were coated in a crispy light batter promoting the sweetness and freshness of their accompanying onion. Our only regret is we didn't get back for an encore meal! Easily the best meal of the trip!PS - Our friends had the pulled pork sandwich, reuben, and french fries and were equally thrilled with the taste and bountiful portions of their meal - try the French fries;the coating had a nice kick!It was fun reading about the building's former proprietor (a leaflet was provided at the tables). Unfortunately, he did not make an appearance while we were there. LOL ?

If I could give a 0/5 review I would. They've changed to a self serve "style" of dining. Except, they add a 12% "service" charge to take your order at the bar and bring you your food. There is a tiny sign stating this when you walk in but unless you are intentionally stopping to look at a 4×6in sign, you will miss that and likely not know and also leave additional gratuity. I find this very misleading and I question any employer who controls the employees tip base like this.I would say it is overpriced, low quality food. Basically a tourist trap.Avoid Bobby D's.
